(CNN) -- The mad cow scare in the United States has spread to Asia with Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan joining major buyers Japan and South Korea in immediately banning all U.S. beef imports.

This is on the BBC - Russia, Ukraine, Mexico as well

Wonder will they buy more British beef instead ???

jj...I ahve to agree with the other posters who seem to have picked up a decidely anti-American tone to the majority of your posts. Or are they all "tongue-in-cheek"???

I have a solutiion...perhpas we can send the cows to Belfast or Derry and let the snipers use them for target practice, instead of practicing on the people?

Mad cow or not, after what I just read about the milk being blood (had NEVER thought of it that way) I'm giving up milk YUCK!!!! Never liked it much anyway. I think I need to stop reading so much and go have some ice cream!

Hmm, might be time to think about how your posts come off since so many of us seem to think you are!

IMO this is a very sad time. We will all have to reevaluate the risks of eating beef and millions more dollars will be spent on prevention as well as lost as income. This isn't an American issue, it's a people issue - just as it was when it was contained to the UK.
