Howdy, Chatters! What's going on? I was rudely awakened this morning by DD 14 demading to be chauffered around! Whatever! She had to be at her school by 8:00 for her orchestra thingie and she wakes me up at 7:42 and asks me to drive her. So you can imagine how adorable I looked! I stopped a the Starbucks' by Shannon's house and got me a peppermint mocha and some rice krispie treats for the girls. I have a bottomless supply of Starbuck's gift cards from years of teacher gifts!

There is a nail place in there and I actually stopped there and thought about getting fills but it wasn't open. So I might go back later, depending on how I feel. Maybe a pedicure too, who can say?

Shannon, if you wanna get pedis today let me know, lady! I have no plans, so I can work around your schedule! I just have to pick up Heather at 11:00-ish. Or we can go tomorrow.

I was just thinking how choppy our convos on here appear. Since we do so much of our chatting on MSN and oft times, just kind of forget about MC, it's probably pretty hard to follow, huh?

Bonnie~ Poor thing almost had a heart attack!

We went to the Yard House last night for dinner with my SIL. It was fun, and of course I blew my diet! No plans for today-which is my favorite kind of day. I'm just going to lay around, watch some movies, read (oh darn I've got to go to the library), and do whatever I want!!!

Hi Angie!! You're up early! Wait, I know AZ does not switch time zones but are you guys on Pacific or Mountian right now?

How are DH and the dogs? How are you feeling?

We're always up early! We're mountain time, but we never go on DS time, so once everybody springs forward we're really on Pacific time. It's a little weird, but I really like not going on DS time!

The dogs are fine, but I think one of them has an ear infection. He's constantly scratching his ears, poor guy!

Oh no!! I hope he feels better! Well I think our cat is ready to perish. She used to be this huge, fat orange cat like Garfield. Now she is sooo skinny, a bag of bones, really, and she meows all the time and never eats. She is OLD. I don't know how old though, since we adopted her from the shelter.

Hey peeps!

Sorry I missed ya Bon! Pedis would've been MUCH preferred over my morning! We went to Manassas around 9:30, ate breakfast at Bob Evans (garden omelet), and then proceeded to spend the next 2 hours at Dick's Sporting goods and 2 different Walmarts trying to find Reece a pocket knife for Scouts! Of course, Dh ended up with 3 golf shirts, tees, and new spikes for his golf shoes. Reece also got a much-needed bike helmet.

Riley and I amused ourselves on the trampolines and the putting green!

Anywho, Reece and DH are now in the woods playing with knives. Anyone want to place bets on who gets cut first??? (neither one are "outdoorsy!" That would be me...)

Later I will be making honey chicken kabobs for lunch, doing some laundry, and watching la Vie en Rose. Then I'm meeting a friend for dinner at Red Robin.

STOP THE PRESS. DH just walked in with a cut finger.

Shannon that is too funny! I could have sent you about a dozen to choose from! Dh has about 50 and he has turned Brendan into a knife collector too. Although he only as about 6. We have had no blood shed because of them though. Get out there and show them how it's really done squaw.

*sigh* What's sad is that DH grew up in the country, basically on a farm. 12 years of sitting behind a computer has completely wiped out his inner hunter!

Now that Riley is out of his "runner" phase, I'm not terrified to take him camping or hiking, so that's what we'll be doing all spring & summer.

I do, because I am handy. I can get all the pieces at my dad's store except the marshmallows. I also built a ladder golf game for the camper. The things I can do with PVC pipe are endless.

As much as I need one, I'm gonna have to pass on the pedi. I sliced my foot on a sharp piece of metal the other day, and it still hasn't healed. I can just SEE the look on the tech's face as she discovers a nasty scab on my scruffy heel! Can anyone say "staph infection?"

Exactly! I'm a tent camper, and I told DH there was no way I was schlepping wipes, diapers, etc.. into the wilderness. But really, I have just been insanely busy with school for the past 4 years-- not many free weekends. I am so excited to have leisure time!!!! I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders!!!! (Someone sing "Free Bird" please!!!)

Seriously, the only thing I've ever made out of PVC were gerbil tunnels and wire holders for the entertainment center. I bow to your craftiness!
