Mad at myself!!

Yesterday I phoned Virgin Atlantic to confirm prices for going out 11th December & coming back PE on the 31st.

As I needed to check that the dates on our potential villa were still free I didn't book - today the price has increased by over £300

Virgin says this is due to selling out certain airfares!! So now I haven't got my flights as can't really afford the extra££. Even the economy price has gone up over £100 (total)

Now I'm sad

For the dates you want the prices are only going to keep going up, they are unlikely to go on sale. I say if you can squeeze it book now before it is way out of your reach.

It is annoying when these things happen though

Ouch, sorry to hear that.
Have you given up or thinking of taking the economy flights.

PE is popular on the MCO route and does seem to sell fast due to the limited # of seats.
Does it have to be Virgin, more often that not BA are coming in cheaper it appears recently.
Other carriers may well offer decent alternatives.

£446 for economy both ways is very reasoanble for covering the Christmas period. Also £716 inc PE retrun is comparible to most other dates during the year.

Or if you can get to Manchester easily econ out and PE return is only £615.

Oh no! You must be more than sad - I know I'd be crucifying myself. Without wishing to rub salt into the wound, we normally ask them to hold the booking for 24 hours. I haven't got any words of comfort or advice. All I can offer is a .

Claire are you getting prices off VA site? As when I rang it was over £2700 for 3 adults & 1 child? Previous price was £2317.

Ah but looks like the £615 price is the only ticket left in PE for a K code ticket and then it goes to the S code ticket and then it goes up to £715 per adult for a return!

Only cheaper flight at the moment is to come back a day sooner. Don't leave it too long otherwise prices will go up and up.

So nothing I can do then? How do you find these things out?

I just look at the booking details ie code of ticket and then try different numbers of people and find out how booked up they are as can check for up to 8 seats online

Hi I don't know if this heps but just looked at the BA web site and they have your dates for £508.00 Gatwick to international we are going on the 12th December coming home on the ST Jan and we have booked with them at the beginning of Jan and got flights for £430.00 i knew this was a great price and decided not to wait for Virgin , I hope you find the deal for you and have a great Xmas in Disney .

Thanks again for all the messages. Jakey I do feel like giving up. It's only because I wanted to try the 'luxury' of PE coming back on New Years Eve & now I've thrown my toys out of the pram!!!

I hope you get something sorted, new years eve would have been good.
I wouldn't let the prospect of losing a PE trip spoil a trip to Orlando, the magic's over there, not in the journey.
If it's not to be this time just make sure it's next time.

It's a new day

So I phoned & booked 4 seats with VA fling out on the 11th December for 20 nights. Total came to £1763 - so that's not too bad (seemed cheaper than yesterday) - flying economy.

Thanks everybody for your support - we're now officially going

Now need to check out DC as we have never done this before - Oh & still need to confirm the villa!

Glad you got sorted, I have learned to book as soon as I am happy with a price now after missing out on some cheap BA flights last year.
Our dates have now been released for Xmas, If they stay at that price I have done the right thing booking with VH, paid £580 for flights and hotel. Flight only £560, If they come down or release m&m then I will be kicking myself.
