I want to say somewhere around 5:30 or 6pm...they try to do it so that at the end of the parade when they light the tree, the sun has gone down any may have some darkness????
I can't wait to see this for the first time this Dec - are there any better/best places to watch this parade and tree lighting from?
I'll be video taping - at WDW I like to stand at a spot where the parade turns - that way I get the floats coming straight at me and then see the sides also as they turn. Any good turns in the parade route at USF?
Scroll down to "Macy's Holiday Parade." Then click on: "See some highlights from the holiday celebrations!" Then you can see a slide show from last year.
There is a 15 page description with pictures from 2 years ago at: http://www.ioacentral.com/news/features/features.htm
Scroll down to: "December 16, 2002 Universal Orlando Resort Update - December 16, 2002" and click that link.
I have been in the parade twice and I can't even remember the details, sorry. I know it starts in the backstage warehouse between Jimmy Neutron and Twister.
Last year, the route went around the circle towards Mummy then to in front of Mel's drive in and then past Terminator and ended at the entranced gate. I didn't see the lighting of the Christmas tree.
