Monday 3/31- Day 2
After going to bed early last night we were up about 7:00 to get ready for MK. Called my sisters room and we decided to meet up in the "Breezeway" downstairs at 8:15. Caught the MK bus and got there about 8:45. The weather was brisk and windy, but sunny, about 48 degrees when we left for MK. (Glad I packed those jeans and extra sweatshirts!!) We headed straight for Dumbo, of course, and while the others rode, myself and older DS went to Buzz to get FastPasses. Came back, collected the others and rode Peter Pan, Small World, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh and Teacups. Then we headed over to Buzz and rode. I love that ride!! I beat my DS by 100 points!! Yes! Got Fast Passes for Space Mtn, then we headed over to Pirates of Carribean, no wait, yea!! Had lunch at the Tall Tale Cafe (yummy salad with grilled chicken and veggies) then we realized we could get Fast Passes for Big Thunder Mtn, so we did and then took the train to Toon Town, the big ones rode Space Mountain while I took DS-6 and my niece age 5 on Barnstormer. I had to bribe them with promises of the big, swirly lollipops they sell next to Barnstormer, and they went for it!! They loved the ride!! True to my word, we went to get the promised lollies and sat on the curb and licked for quite a while waiting for the rest of the gang to arrive. They looked too cute and got lots of comments!! (Mostly, Mom, can I have one of those???) lol
After the rest of the gang came back from Space Mtn. we rode the railroad back over to Frontierland and it was time for the Big Thunder FastPass. Lots of fun!! It was a bit chilly for Splash Mountain so we walked over to the Haunted Mansion and the wait was about 20 minutes but it was well worth it. Everyone was drained by then so we decided to head back to BCV for a dip and rest before our 8pm dinner at Chef Mickey's. However, the Parade was starting in about 15 minutes so it was literally impossible to get out the park!! Wow, We stood behind 10 people near Main STreet and watched what we could. It was cute, but we aren't big on parades, we really wanted the pool. It had warmed up to about 60 degrees or so, which was really perfect for touring a park.
Got back to BCV about 4:30, changed and swam for a bit, went up and got ready for dinner. We had ps's for 16 people at Chef Mickey's and they fit us at one long banquette. It was great. The food was great and all the characters made a huge deal over all the kids. My DS-6 fell asleep in between characters coming to the table and Dale was messing with him, pretending to wake him up, it was too funny! We went downstairs to catch a cab back to BCV since it was almost 10pm and ran into some friends of my family who we haven't seen in a long time!! Cool! Visited for a bit and then caught a van back to BCV. We fell into bed exhausted, but looking forward to our big day at Stormalong Bay on Tuesday.
