I really can't figure out the difference between the quest and the triumph. I see the volvo doesn't recline at all.

My son is 32 lbs but needs to be held down so I don't loose him. Also, he does get tired after hours in the park.

Which one should I get?

Thanks, April

PS: I had a techno XT and the wheel feel off at MGM on day 3 and again at the airport. Hoping for a better outcome. :guilty:

Congrats on narrowing it down to 2! I have a Quest and love it. Only problem I had after many years of use was the locking bar for the seat recline fell apart. Had to ship it off, paying for shipping both ways plus repair costs. Was almost cheaper to buy a new one. Should you have any problems in the future contact Mac and complain (if you didnt before).

Now down to choices. If you havent already, head to Babies R Us, etc and test drive the two with your child in it. I may be wrong, but Ive heard that the Triumph's seat is narrower than the Quest????? Also, my Quest does not have a shoulder strap for carrying. Maybe the models now do, but that is something to check out. It would be a nice thing to have.

I just returned from WDW with a new Triumph- it was great! My DD is 4, but still rides in the stroller for parks, so although I hated to spend $ on a new stroller at her age- it was worth it! The seat reclined enough for her to take a nap while I walked Epcot, and I loved the strap- so easy to take on buses, planes, etc. For the limited time that she has left for a stroller, the Triumph was enough for us-

When I looked at the Maclaren website all the strollers were 19" wide. I don't know about the depth???

The nearest Baby R us is four hours away at Salt lake city. I have to buy on the internet. There is not a single dealer in Idaho falls, only two hours away.

I guess I will go with the triumph as I travel alone with DS often and need the handle.

Thanks, April

I love my quest..it does have a handle and the legs can go up which helps when my son naps in it. I did call maclaren and they sent me a strap but I rarely use it.

I bought triumph model last year and sold it almost immediately because the seat was so small. Just bought new Quest and love it. Totally worth the money. My ds is 3 now and about 34 lbs so it should last forever. Albeebaby.com arrived quickly and no problems.

i just got a quest to take on our trip and so far it is great! our ds is 2 and over 30lbs, so we needed one for larger sizes. you know?

So, the jury is still out. Is the triumph smaller than the quest? I have one on ebay that ends in 7 hours so I really need the answer. Again, I need quick and easy as I am going alone this time.

I had a Maclaren Daytripper that was really nice. I don't think they make them anymore. I got it because it held a taller and heavier child. It was an umbrella stroller but still had storage underneath and a rainguard. Out of all my strollers I went through that one was the best.

I called Maclaren and spoke with a lovely chap named Paul. The Quest is one cm deeper in the seat than the Triumph and they are the same width, 19 inches.

The quest has reflective markings and a window in the canopy. The legs come out on the quest.

The triumph is lighter, has a handle to carry and no window. Being DS is about to age out and just need this to hold him in and for naps, I think we will be ok.

Thanks friends for the help, now back to the auction on ebay.

if you need any other items, albeebaby and babydealz offer free shipping...last year for me it was cheaper to do albeebaby than ebay and I had GREAT customer service.

I LOVE my mac!! (Techno)

Have considered the lighter models too. Just can't decide if I'm willing to give up the padded seat and adjustable handle height!

Albeebaby has some great deals on Maclarens right now- I bought a Quest today for $159.99 and free shipping! Yay! I got it cheaper there than I would have on ebay because of the free shipping.

don't rule out the volvo just because it does not recline. that is what we have for my daughter. We took a 3 day trip back when she was 18 months to Ohio and were she spent alot of time in it. it was comfortable enough for her to sleep in and easy for me to take. Also check out Marshalls if you have one near you. I saw a maclaren not sure of the model at ours over the weekend for around $85

Never leave to a man what needs to be done by a woman. I tasked DH with bidding on the triumph before I left this morning knowing I would not be home. He auction sniped it but had changed his log in so it didn't work.

No stroller....MEN!!!!

Ms Marigny - LOVE LOVE LOVE your daughter's name, Sienna!!! I wanted that name but DH vetoed. (He said it was a crayon color. I told him that it is a town in Italy first!)

Thank you! DH picked it out, actually... I wanted Marigny to be her first name, but DH won that battle, so I settled on Marigny being her middle name. (Marigny is the name of a neighborhood here in New Orleans- it is pronounced with a silent g). Now, of course, DH says that maybe Marigny should have been her first name because he is liking it more and more. Eh, men!
