Maclaren stroller weight limits

What is the maximum weight for the Maclaren Volvo and Triumph? Thinking of getting one for my DS who has Cerebral Palsy. He doesn't need a wheelchair, but he has trouble walking long distances. He's definitely outgrown his old stroller.

New models are 55 lbs. Depending on his situation, you might also consider the Mac "Major Buggy" which is classed as a medical device, and can be expensed as such. The Major Buggy will carry up to 130 lbs. It is similar to a Volo, but much larger of course, and not so swoopy.

Since he needs it for mobility because of a disability, your insurance is likely to pay for it as durable medical equipment (you may have to go thru a DME vendor to get it paid and will need a doctor's prescription for insurance).

A lot of times your insurance tells you who is their "preferred provider". The MDs might also refer him for a Physical Therapy seating assessment (my DD has one because she has more complex needs; your son may not need an actual assessment, but a PT could still be helpful to pick out the best stroller for him). You could ask any PT he is working with to find out which companies they feel do a good job.
