I have a 2 year old and was wondering if I should go with the Quest or the Triumph. Would love to hear your thoughts?

I got the Quest for my son to use at WDW about 1.5 yrs ago. I wish I had gotten it first vs all the other ones I bought! I cant recall anything about the Triumph, but I read lots of reviews on these boards before making my decision. As with all Macs, theyre good to 55 lbs, something I needed since my son can still use it at 4 and 5 yrs. I knew we were going to have another baby, so I wants something that would recline. The Quest doesnt recline flat so our daughter couldnt use it until about 3 months. It wasnt a problem since she loved being slinged. The seat extenders are nice to have (sort of like a leg rest for little legs). The storage basket is almost worthless for me. Its hard to access when the child is seated, and its pretty small. At Disney, I toss in our jackets, some diapers and wipes and have no problem leaving the stuff in there when we park the stroller. I did get the Mac organizer which hangs from the handles and works well. Hope this helps!

We just got the quest for our son to use on our upcoming trip in sept. For soem reason when we were trying him out in all the Maclarens in Babies R' Us the quest seemed to have more room and a little bit longer back so he could lay down easier. We bought a 2005 Quest Mod from ALbee baby it was 60$ less than the 2006 at Babies R' Us. HTH

The main difference I noticed was the Triumph seemed to have a shallower seat - that was the main reason I went with the Quest over the Triumph. I do love the Quest and although it was still expensive I got it for a decent $129.99 (albeebaby.com) when they were running $199.99 in the stores. I agree the basket is pretty worthless for me too - I use it for jackets and such - but it's hard to fold with much of anything in the basket. I also bought the Maclaren organizer that hangs from the back and do like it but it can make the stroller tippy - I just bought a pair of 1 or 2lb ankle weights and attach to the front legs.....you can still fold it and it doesn't add a lot of weight to the stroller.

That is a brilliant idea! :worship: I have weights around here somewhere...

Why thank you :) But I can't take all the credit....someone created basically the same thing but marketed them for strollers....but I could only find them from websites in the UK and it was going to cost about $50 to get them from them.

If you can't find them I got some at Wal-Mart for under $10. They were teal on one side and black on the other. I just used them with the black side out and you don't even really see them.

I just bought the Triumph for my 2 1/2 yo DD. The store I looked in didn't have the Quest to compare the Triumph to.

From what everyone says the seat is a little deeper in the Quest I looked on the baby websites and for the color I wanted the Triumph made more sense, since I couldn't find a "bargain" as some did on here for the Quest.

We haven't officially used hers yet since we just bought it 2 days ago. But she wouldn't get out of the one in the store.

We also love out quest. I had an englesina (spelling?) zippy that I thought was the BEST till I had the quest. I love how light it is. I got another stroller at babies r us just for the tray to use on my quest at Disney (basicly I paid $50 for a tray but it was handy and snapped on and off). I made a bag that fit over the handles so we put things we used the most in that and kept the under portion for things we did not use as oftern or we had just bought to take back to the room. They sell the stroller bags on ebay (and look nice) but I made mine extra big and perfect for me :), I made it the night before we left because I saw them on ebay.

On the bag, we just swang it around for parking so the weight was in the middle. The weights would be nice too but I don't think I could have carried another pound. We had TOOOO much stuff!

Good Luck!

I also purchased the Quest Mod single Stoller earlier this year and love it. The only issue I have is that the sun shade doesn't really help after 12noon. However that would be a problem no matter which one you get we just carry a hat for the afternoon hours. The triumph had more bells and whistles along with a higher price. I got the stoller new on ebay shipped for 138.00. :thumbsup2

The Quest is actually a small step UP from the Triumph...no more bells and whistles. You're probably thinking of the Techno...

yep your right it was the techno I was talking about. The triumph is a step down I believe then the volo is at the bottom? After researching so many stollers they all start to sound and look the same. Thank you for the correction. :thumbsup2
