Machu Picchu - Peru

Hi Everyone,

On May 8th I will be travelling to Peru to walk the Inca Trail for Macmillan Cancer Relief. Has anyone ever done this before or been to Peru? I'm walking about 60 miles a week now so the walking shouldn't be a problem. I'm more worried about the altitude!

Any hints/suggestions will be greatly apreciated.

I know that altitude is a problem. Cuzco is 11,600 feet high, Macchu Picchu somewhat lower.
