Macarons collection at Les Halles

The “macaron collection” at Les Halles is $10.33 as compared to a $5.75 single raspberry macaron. I’m seeing posts from 2014 saying you get 6 macarons in the collection. Are they smaller, have less filling?

Cause I’m tempted to get the collection if it means multiple macarons at a lower price point per macaron.

If I remember correctly, the collection are smaller macarons in a box. The single macaron is much bigger.

Yes, they're much smaller than the raspberry macaron. For reference:

Here's the box of macarons. As you can see, they're smaller, there's a variety of flavors for you to try, and they're standard macarons. They're the ones you can find relatively easily nowadays.

Here's the raspberry macaron. I've had this before and I love it-- instead of a typical jam filling, there's this nice lemon cream and raspberries (with a little bit of jam in the middle). It's not a standard macaron by any means, and it's nice and fresh, but it doesn't travel well and you only get one flavor.

Both is always good. When it comes the macarons, the more is ALWAYS the merrier

The box of 6 travel well so I always bring one or two home with me.

That big raspberry macaron is worth killing or dying for. My advice? Order that and eat it right away (you might want to share it, it's pretty rich). THEN get the little box of macarons for a midnight snack.

The box of 6 is durable plastic. I filled it with 6 felt macarons from Etsy and it’s been a cute souvenir.
