Macadamia pancakes at Kona - nuts in batter or butter?!?!

I cannot wait to try the macadamia nut pancakes at Kona on our trip in September. I remember seeing pics before that just showed the pancakes loaded with nuts!! YUMMO!! But, the last couple of pics I saw looked like the nuts were mixed in with the butter and pineapple

Did they change how they make them? I think they would be so much better mixed right in with the batter.

I think the nuts are in the pancake batter but I believe the butter is flavored too...

Both if you order the regular version....the pancakes are loaded with the mac nuts

When I ordered the big Kahuna they were plain little pancakes with the pineapple sauce and mac butter on them
