Mac or PC?

Mac or PC?

  • PC, and I'm happy with it

  • PC, but I might consider switching to Mac

  • PC, but I really wish I had a Mac

  • I use both the same amount, and I like the PC better

  • I have a PC, and I don't like it but I'd rather have a better PC than a Mac

All I've ever had are pc's, but my exbil swears by mac. We don't discuss it anymore.

We're actually a 50/50 family now. DD15 and I have Macs and DH and DS16 have PCs. Plus a really old, low memory, slower than molasses PC laptop that nobody wants to use. I voted Mac though because I'll only use the PC if I absolutely have to! I was looking for some missing files tonight and got SOOOOOOOO frustrated by how slow those stupid PCs are!

Mac all the way.

Knew after 4 years of dealing with windows and Dell through undergrad that I wouldn't last through another PC.

My mac hasn't been all wonderful but the problems have been minor (and not Mac's fault) compared to the Dell. Besides, things have been fixed nearly effortlessly and with someone on the phone who speaks English :thumbsup2

My situation wasn't a choice... I have both, but use my PC 95% of the time.... I use my mac only for music and iMovie.

PCs. Several. :headache:

I've never used a Mac. My ex and my sister's ex both have them, but they are musicians. :confused3

And that pretty much sums up the issue: Microsoft Windows is the operating system of choice for most business applications. Apple OSX is a great operating system for multimedia applications, though Microsoft Windows does well there too.

I'll take Windows over a MAC. Had a MAC, not ever getting another. Not thrilled with Vista, but seems the previous version is unavailable unless you want to pay "again" for it.

We got a Mac I don't know how many years ago and we are not going back. We have an iMac for family use and I have a MacBookPro just for me which I just  . The MacBookPro goes on every vacation with us and it's wonderful! None of our Macs have ever crashed or had viruses, they are easy to use and Mac has great customer service. We have Word, Excel, PowerPoint and some other stuff we can use on the Mac.

We're definitely a Mac family. We've had ipods since they first came out and now the iphone  .

My husband doesn't like using his Windows machine at work, he always complains about it. He is getting a new laptop from work and he's trying to get them to get a Mac. I don't miss Windows/PC's at all.

This is huge! It's so nice being able to understand and have a conversation with customer service/support reps.

My cousins have a Dell and had trouble with it. My husband was on the phone with India for over 2 hours and problem still wasn't solved.

PC. We are a Mac-free household. :snooty:

And nothing beats having a DH who builds your computer for you. :thumbsup2

And, not even just someone who speaks English.
Someone who is helpful, incredibly nice and speaks English.

Couldn't really answer because I have both, but I use my PC 100% of the time. I have way more issues with my Mac than I do with my PC. My Mac is basically used as a table right now.

DH has two Macs, a desktop and a Mac Book, but the Desktop isn't working anymore and it's not that old. We have to take it in to the Apple Store soon.

My DH does PC support, and he spends more time per computer on the Macs in the building than the various PCs. That says a lot to him.

Mac. Have to use a PC at work, but ever since the switch to the Intel Mac I now can have my Mac at work and run Windows on it at native speed so I can use one computer for both.
