him at all.

I'm glad to read that dogs can digest chicken bones, but I knew that already. The last couple of times I made fried chicken, Max managed to snag a piece and eat it whole, bones and all. I worried about him choking, but he was fine.

:)

Just had to say that the chicken needs to be RAW, not cooked. The danger lies in cooked bones. They turn brittle as opposed to raw bone which is soft and digestable.

As far as your puppy, don't worry...he was just being a dog and doing a natural thing.
In fact a dog will eat raw chicken/meat like a wolf. Geesh...I fed my pups a raw chicken drumstick and they turned into "wolves".
It was later I found out to feed them separate. Butters was very worried about his chicken. Since he is the alpha over Gracie he let her know that she should not go near him.

Oh and very cute puppy....:goodvibes

Prehaps she should swallow a cat to catch the bird ...
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.

Seroiusly I hope your puppy is will be fine shes a cuite.

I would've been more concerned of the bird getting lodged in her throat and suffocating more than anything else!

We're on our second Weim, and even though they carry some of the same characteristics, both have been totally different in personality! Our first Weim would eat just about anything! This one is more picky!

It's amazing what they can eat and pass without any problems!

Mabel is a beaut, Weims are such gorgeous pups, aren't they? I wish they'd stay that size longer! You made a fine choice in breeds! I think I'll always own a Weimaraner (or should I say, they'll own me!)

Well, I am still waiting for Mabel to poop...and she hasn't yet. She did eat some grass and threw up a little. Other than that, she seems normal. We are leaving for out of town (with Mabel) in a couple hours too. But, we are going to DH's aunts house where they have a vet they go to just incase.

I was up most of the night worried sick...watching her sleep like a baby!

I hope she passes it without any problems. The fact that she is eating grass could indicate that it gave her an upset stomach. Our first Weim would only eat grass when he wanted to throw up. He had lots of stomach problems.

Shiloh will sometimes eat grass for no reason, in fact he loves lettuce and thinks the grass in the backyard is the same thing!

Please keep us posted about little Mabel!

I have a Weimaraner (his name is Indy) and Indy ate 7 hockey pucks in one sitting! He never had any problems and he still wants to eat more.

Seven hockey pucks? :earseek:

Shiloh just got into the trash and pulled out a coffee filter and proceeded to eat it, coffee grounds and all. What a nitwit!

And if one of my kids don't flush the toilet, he loves turds too! :crazy2: I don't think there's anything nastier than THAT!

Just keep an eye on her and if she starts to act strangely, then I'd do something about it.

This silly boy...

insists on trying to eat wood. All the time. He got ahold of some treated wood some weeks back and his digestive system wasn't right for a while... but he seems fine now. The vet just sighs and says, "If he starts acting funny, call us back."

Our first Weim swallowed a popsicle stick whole! It must've gone straight down (as opposed to sideways). The Vet said that his stomach acids would make the popsicle stick pulpy and he'd pass it with no problems.

He must've because he didn't get sick!

My son plays hockey and has a bucket of pucks, well needless to say we were short 7 pucks! After cleaning the yard it looked like there was enough rubber for a steel belted radial tire.

As far as turds, Indy has "been there, Done that"
