I think that making it work for "MOST" people is exactly the reason it won't fit folks of certain sizes and shapes. The cast member who posted above pointed out that there's already a minimum height and weight requirement to this ride. If they sized the cabin up more, more folks at the bottom of the spectrum would drop off, meaning a lot more kids would have to miss the ride. Just a thought.

Try looking at the "cup as half full" instead.

Use this hurdle as a motivating factor to cut some weight. It would probably have the side benefit of extending the numbers of years you get to enjoy some Disney magic.

For folks that are too tall, there is always drastic reconstructive surgery procedures (available in some 3rd world countries). I wouldn't recommend them, but if it's that important.

Honestly I'm not too worried about M:S....though I am a plus sized woman (Pooh sized I guess....) I've never had a problem actually fitting into any ride vehicles at WDW....with the exception of Primeval Whirl. In that case, my dh and I were just barely able to squish ourselves together in one side of the ride vehicle (ds and his grandfather sat on the other side)....we're both about 5'6" and our weight at the time probably totaled over 400lbs...maybe close to 450. (I'm thrilled to say that our total would now be under 400...we've both done very well!)

Okay, I say I'm not worried about M:S....actually I am a little worried about the ride itself....but not whether or not I'll fit! I'm basically a chicken.

Seems to me it could be both, but I haven't seen the inside of the ride either. Perhaps I'll fit fine. On newer coasters, there are larger shoulder restraints, which fit me great. There are ALSO smaller, that fit small riders great. Like people said, I guess it's wait and see. Or in my case, squishing myself one way or another.

For anyone worried...I'm a plus sized woman and reading this thread made me nervous that I would have a problem fitting on the attraction. I shouldn't have worried. I had no problems with the ride vehicle or restraint. Yes, the vehicle does close in, but the way it is designed is very efficient and was not a problem getting in or out.

Also, someone commented on the ride vehicle at the beginning of the queue area. It is not a size tester seat like on Hulk at IOA but rather a display of the vehicle. It seemed to me, it was more to demonstrate how confined the space for people who might be claustrophobic.

Why is everyone so sensitive. Unless you have a medical problem it is in your control to lose the "pooh" size that people seem to find so funny and proud of. I do not find it funny nor something to be proud of. Go to the mall and see how many out of shape and obese people are there. The most disturbing group are the younger folks who are grossly out of shape. People with those bodies were very rare when I was young. Today it is almost expected.

I hope the ride does not accomodate all sizes. It would increase the cost, and make the creation of neat rides like MS more difficult.

It's easy for people to call someone a name (troll).

It's not so easy for people to shed some pounds.

Our society has deterioriated to the point that we try to make accomodations for everybody and everything. If the situation is under the control of the individual (such as losing some weight), doesn't anybody think that person should carry some of the responsibility.

It's the choice of the consumer. Lose some weight, and possibly enjoy a longer/healthier life. Or, be content with your weight and take responsibility.

It sounds like this should not be an issue for most of us.

I thought that I should post this, before this thread gets locked. Because, this is of course of the OP was looking for, not being told to lose weight!!!!!

I rode M:S last week. I saw some larger guests riding it. I would liken the space to a standard airline seat. If you fit there, you will fit on the ride. I don't think the area is any smaller than any other of the e rides. I say go for it!!! ( And let those puppies experience some g forces!)

I have to wonder why you even bothered to look at this thread. Was it because you wanted to make yourself feel better by putting others down? Or are you little all over and wanted to make yourself bigger? Either way our weight is none of your business and you should think about why you feel that it's ok to lecture us on our weight!!!!!!

I say it again. It is under your control to not have to worry about if you will fit in a ride.

It is so easy to make excuses and criticize someone who does not tell you "it is OK, they should accomodate you." Our society is far too forgiving of problems that are caused by personal decisions.

In addition, wishing someone to die for having a different opinion shows what you truly are...
