I wanted to do some m&m tubes for my daughters communion party...
but I am not sure what paper I have to use to print out the design on etc.
and is anyone willing to attempt a design? or are the m&m tubes too small for something like that?

TIA
Danielle

I'm not a disigner but I did use others disigns last year and use the m&m tubes for holding pennies for the pressed penny machines. I just printed the designs out on regular paper, used double sided tape to stick it to the tube, then used clear contact paper ($1 at the Dollar Tree) to cover it and protect it. They turned out AWESOME!!!!! Good luck!

ahhh i see, i thought you had to use sticker paper....
thats a good idea, now all i would need is the measurements now, thanks for the hints!!!

Here's a pic of the ones I made.

I may have put the contact paper on first, then cut them out and taped them to the tube. I doesn't look like I did the contact paper after.

Those are awesome.....thank you so much for sharing the pic
just 1 more question sorry, you printed out your label, then put the contact paper over the sheet then cut them out? and taped them to the tubes?

I have to start another thread I think, i really would love for a DISigner to try and help me, even if its just to give me the template :confused3

Thanks again!

Yes, I think I printed them out, covered one side in contact paper, cut them out, then used double sided tape to stick them to the tube. What type of design are you specifically looking for? Here's a link to the ones I used. They were done by Natalie. She's not designing right now but I'm sure someone else will swing by and can help you if they know what it is you want. Or if you are creative and know how to use photoshop, maybe you can use one of these as a template.

Thanks again!
you're too kind for all the info!!
unfort. I don't have photoshop, the only program I have is wrapcandy, i am making wrappers for my DD's communion, but i wanted to do the tubes as well, i was originally going to buy personlized tins but its too late now as i need them for next week, then i thought about the tubes, my mom loved the idea of the tins, because she carries it in her purse with mints, so i figured the tubes can be used for that as well, and prob. much cheaper and easier to make....sorry for rambling!

BTW I LOVE THE CONTACT ON THEM, so nice and shiny!

No problem...that's all I ever do is ramble. :rotfl: Well I hope you can find someone to help you with the design! I like the contact paper too...it helps to keep from getting ink on your fingers later and helps protect if it gets wet whether it's from water rides or sweaty hands. :) good luck!

You don't need a template to design one...you just need the dimensions which are 5 x 3.5 inches. Then you can fill that size with whatever images and words you want. I'm visiting family this week otherwise, I would DISign something for you.
