Lyric Swap--COMPLETE

I have an idea for two of my groups....

took to photos when we were on our tour of the studios in Feb and thought they would look cool with the lyrics, quote overlayed on vellum on top of the photo then with a some blinging paper as another layer...so that would make 3 layers....

question, would the photos be considered as my embellishment, or would I need to add something else???

My mom's wondering how you're gonna attatch the vellum to the photo. She has yet to find anything to attatch vellum with that is truly invisible.

I have found the best thing to attach vellum that is invisible is eyelets or brads- anything else shows a bit.

That's what I usually do; I was just wondereing if Lisa had a found an adhesive that is invisible under vellum.

I have used by xyron in the past which does really well for me! have also used brads or a bit of zig glue in corners and added a gem on top to hide it! which I will probably do with my ideas since I don't want to ruin the actual photo

Aha I like the glue in the corners with something to hide it. I hate looking back at places where I have used vellum and seeing the "invisible" adhesive square. KWIM?

me too! so I have figured out something extra to add to each of the groups, so no worries on the embellishment parts!

Have any of you ladies tried the Vellum adhesive runner from Therm O Web? I have some and it works pretty good. A lot better than the invisible tape squares

oh I forgot about my vellum adhesive...made by "Glue Dots" you jut place it on the sheet and rub lightly, it works pretty good too!

I thought of one other way we made the glue disappear in quick quotes classes I have taken- on some of the quotes we cut a slit in the paper and threaded the quote into it - therefore attaching it on the back. I know I did a quote about dogs for a swap one time like that. In that quote I actually had a short poem and each set of lines was between a strip of patterned paper. I cut the patterned paper and wove the quote through.

Beacon 3 in 1 is what they suggest or zip dry but I don't find either of those completely clear despite the claims.

Also, I am so glad that you combined the group for Walt/imagineer quotes! It's going to be awesome to have all those amazing quotes to use on my pages.

Hopefully some of the other groups will get full too. (I'm hoping the park groups will fill)

I was excited to find some "glitter" paper for $.25/sheet at JoAnns this weekend - I stocked up!

Question: have y'all had any luck/issues PRINTING on vellum? I've never tried it before, but I'm about to ...... It's my plan for one of my lyrics ...... just curious if there's anything I need to know before I dive in!

When printing on velum- use a transparency setting if possible, also if your printer offers a hand feeding option use that. When the paper comes out it will need to dry before touching the ink at all. When I do those things I have no trouble printing on velum- I do it fairly regularly for journaling as well as swaps.
