I just bought my wife and I the Fixed Route 7-day Standard Pass.

The first questions is ... How long does it take to get these in the mail? If somone has ordered them before how long did it take to get yours since I know somtimes the listed shipping time is longer on some things than others and somthings get tehre sooner than listed.

The second question is... It says good for transfers on approved lynx connections. Does anyone know what this means or what connections are not good for the card? It doesnt say on the website that I can find.

THe third question is... How do these work? How do they keep track of the days used etc, is there a computer that scans the card on each bus or somthing?

The fourth question is... Is there anything I should probably know now so I dont get surprised or confused when riding the lynx buses with this card?

Thanks for all the help in advance guys. :yay:

I have no idea...I have used Lynx only to get from the TTC to SeaWorld. But a bump up may get you some insights.

Another thing you might want to try is posting a link to this thread on the Orlando Hotels forum.

If you just try posting the same questions over there, someone will probably suggest you ask here :) but, from being so involved in this forum, it seems most of the posters here use Lynx as a one- or two-shot option, to get from Disney to, say, SeaWorld or another specific location.

Maybe some posters on the Orlando Hotels board use Lynx more frequently, since they did or do stay off-site? I have no idea - but it can't hurt to ask.

Still no luck, huh?

Complete guess, but I would think whatever they indicate as the shipping time/range would be accurate. This opinion is based on my experience purchasing similar items - gift cards, tickets - and having them mailed to me.

Transfers: I can't tell for sure, but it looks like the ticket you have allows you unlimited rides on Lynx buses. I can think of a couple of things 'approved transfers' might mean, but the unlimited rides aspect of your ticket seems to beat those.

Third, I more or less know. Like your Disney tickets, your Lynx tickets will have a magnetic strip. Also like your Disney ticket, you will insert the bus pass into a 'reader' - sort of like the park turnstile, but at the bus entrance instead (and there's no actual turnstile - you just step onto the bus, slide your card through, put it back in your pocket, and move into the bus). The first time you do this, the system's computer will activate your bus pass. You then repeat the process every time you board a bus that day and the following six calendar days - seven total. It will expire at the end of the seventh day.

And, since none of this is based on personal experience with Lynx, I can't answer your fourth question. But maybe bumping the post again will help.

Thanks guys. I found out but will post for others in the future.

- Got my tickets in about 3 days

- The only buses not included are the express buses that go way out of the area. No reason to buy th emore expensive pass for the theme parks adn around that area

- Once the card is scanned for the first time it will start counting the days.

- I was told that the schudules are accurate to about 5 min with the possible delay every once in while but not regularly. I guess they mean if there is a wreck or somthing that holds them up they would get off schedule.

Thanks guys for trying to help. If we keep this info in our heads we will know when somone else asks. Also after my trip I will post more info about using the lynx!
