Am i right in thinking that the number 50 lynx bus goes from downtown Disney to Seaworld AND international drive and also back. The number 111 bus goes from international drive to Florida mall and back. I am staying in Disney at the French Quarter and am trying to save a bit of money on taxi's.

Also is there a lynx bus from Universal to international drive. Thanks.

I can't remember exactly which bus it is that goes from DTD to Seaworld (although 50 sounds right) but we did it a few times last year and it was extremely easy to do. Its pretty much impossible to miss your stop. We were at POFQ too and a taxi one-way was $20-$25 plus tip.

I'm pretty sure the information you are looking for is in one of the stickies on the top of the Transportation forum's main page.

You'll want to go to www.golynx.com . That's their website and will let you plan out anything you want, recognizing big locations and thus not needing to know the exact adress.

You are going on old information, assuming you did a search on here? Well not all is still correct. For instance the 111 no longer goes all the way to DTD, was a pretty big newsitem last year in Orlando. That will now require getting onto the..... if I remember correct 50 (tool on website will tell), transfer at the busstation near the convention center onto the 111 and vice versa on the way back.

For moving along international drive, depending on what your plans are, likes and what not, you might find the I-drive trolley suits you better for that than Lynx. Their website also is very easy to use and good information.

Lynxing to Universal? It has been done before, but takes for ever. Totally NOT attractive, imho. Besides taxi and lynx you have another option; shuttles run by taxi companies. Run at set times and need to reserve ahead of time, but reviews said it's a lot quicker than taking for ever on lynx and affordable. Quick google search on universal wdw shuttle will give you options.

I'm a big Lynx fan, but having said that? No way ever I would want to waist so much time lynxing to Universal for relatively so little savings. The hourly "savings" simply is not worth it, imho.

The #50 does go from Disney to Seaworld and then downtown to lynx central station - to transfer to International drive you can get off at Seaworld and transfer to #8 - #8 goes from Outlets south to Outlets north on I drive. You could also use the trolley along I drive from Seaword if you wanted. The #111 is not too far from the #50 and they have recently changed the #111 so the routes may overlap now which would be an easy transfer- check google earth to get an idea of the stop locations.

The #111 does go to Florida Mall and then on to the airport. I have taken it to the mall at is was fairly convenient - I'd do it again. If you want to go to the Mall at Millenia it is a bit longer - you'd have to transfer to the #24 at the North Outlets I drive.

Lynx is very convenient and inexpensive - does take more time but I didn't mind it.

How long does the bus take from dtd to seaworld.

LYNX 50

20 minutes ... DTD to SEAWORLD

35 minutes ... TTC to SEAWORLD

(Disney Transportation Ticket Center)

*times are approximate*

I was just looking at their schedules, can anyone confirm if the route 50 runs on Friday. Didn't seem like there was information for Friday times.

Schedule shows Monday-Sunday and holiday. Friday comes between Monday and Sunday. Not sure what you're talking about.

I think that whether the money-savings is worth the time-cost will vary depending on the length of your holiday. Folks from the UK tend to come for longer trips than most Americans do, so transit delays tend to be a bit easier to stomach under those circumstances.

We live 9 states away, always fly to Orlando, and because my husband's firm is VERY restrictive with vacation days, never manage to stay more than 5 days. For us, the time wasted on transit by using Lynx to go from Disney property to locations on the northern end of I-Drive would absolutely NOT be worth the savings. (We don't even want to take the time to wait for Disney buses, unless we are going to the MK, so we always hire a car and use it daily.)

Lynx to SW might make sense if you're staying at POLY and can walk over to the TTC. Otherwise a bus to MK then ferry (or monorail) to TTC then Lynx. Wasted time. Morning bus service to DTD is spoty (at best). Again, probably a waste of time.

I've used the Lynx bus from TTC to SW...it was very easy and fine. Just take the early morning bus to MK then monorail over to the TTC. Reverse it when you return to WDW. Just not that big a deal.
Yes, it takes longer to do that than to drive yourself or take a cab or car service. But it sure does cost less.

Thanks for everyones help. Have figured out how to get to seaworld and back to dtd is the no 50 bus and seaworld to florida mall is the no111 bus But does anyone know if the no 111 bus picks up on international drive, last time we used it it did. thanks

Truly, the Lynx website - or possibly calling/e-mailing that entity, if there's contact information on the site, would be your 100% best and most accurate source of information the site doesn't provide.
