Just for everyone's information I went to the LYNX website and sent them an email asking for maps and bus numbers to get from the Orlando airport to the Disney Transportation Center.

The package came today and has a very nice entire area bus map and the schedules for the buses we will need.

We are seriously considering taking the bus into downtown and then transfering to the bus to Disney. It may take us and hour or two but we figure we can spend the saved money on other fun things! Plus we will get to see some of the Orlando area and check out Disney a bit.

Our cost will be $1.25 a person. Or $2.50 round trip! Not bad!

Hi

Does it by any cance show which busses to get from disney to universal??

We used the busses last year but i can't remember which ones. I think it was the 50 from the TTC to seaworld. Then I Ride trolley up international drive To where we were staying.

Would i need to get the i ride trolley to the upper part of I Drive and then get on another lynx bus (which bus and where to get on it?) or is there another bus that goes from seaworld, straight to universal??

Or, can i get the 50 to further up I Drive (does it go up there?) and then get another link to Universal and miss out the I Ride trolley?

Ideally, we are going to change on I Drive any way, cause we will have a much cheaper breakfast there than at Disney, (and dinner on the way back!).

Sorry about so many questions.

TIA:D

To get from Disney to Universal by the LYNX maps we have do the following: Take bus #50 to Universal Blvd. Walk about 1/4 mile and you are there. The #50 bus leaves the Disney Transportation Center starting at 7:15 AM and leaves about every 30 minutes there after.

Another way appears to be to take #50 to Sand Lake Road(Route 482) and then take bus #21 right into Universal.

Here is the link to LYNX: http://www.golynx.com/

On the web site there is an way to email them and they were great about sending us maps and schedules.

Hope this helps!

DH and I took the Lynx buses from the airport to the TTC in August 2002. It took about an hour and a half and was interesting since we had enough time. It's certainly budget!

Hey thanks for telling me that! You are the first person who has actually done it that I have typed to! :hyper:

We would really rather spend the travel money on something fun and we have the time so we figured why not try it.

We will fly in on a Sunday and per the schedule the busses still run so we figure they will not have to make a lot of stops because there will be few people there.

How was the downtown bus station?

Thanks again for responding! :bounce:

Do y'all know if there is a bus from the train station to WDW?

thx!
