Hi everyone

We are both non-drivers and would like to (cheaply) get to Sea World from Disney. The Lynx #50 bus seems like our best option. :woohoo:

Has anyone here used it?

The only thing I am a bit worried about is where to get off/on at Sea World. Is it obvious when you are approaching Sea World when you are on the bus from Disney?

Where exactly are the stops, are they close to the entrance or a bit of a walk?

The information about where the stops are seem to be very vague on the official Lynx site!

The stop for the Lynx bus at Sea World is just across the parking lot from the entrance (it is also I-Ride trolley stop number 32). When you approach the stop, there is an automated announcement on the bus which tells you which stop it is but you will be able to see the signs for Sea World befoe you get there anyway. It is very obvious as you will be able to see Kraken and Atlantis from the road.

Although it's not a very good map, you can see Sea World on the map here and it shows the I-Ride stop number 32, which is also where the Lynx bus stops. You can then walk straight across the parking lot to the entrance.

ETA: When you leave Sea World and want to get the bus back to Disney, you will need to cross over the road and catch the bus back from stop 32 on the other side of the road :)

Just to tag an extra bit on to this, how easy is it to find the right bit in DTD Westside to take the Lynx bus in the first place? Am i right in thinking its behind Cirque?

The Lynx #50 to Sea World leaves from the TTC, not from DTD. I am sure there must be Lynx buses which stop at DTD but I'm not sure what number buses they are or where they go :confused3

i think the bus that goes to DTD is really early doors. You can get the lynx bus to ticket and transportation and then walk over to the poly and get a disney bus from there to take you to DTD.

You can also get the Lynx bus from Idrive down to seaworld and then onto disney, however make sure you ask for a transfer so that you dont get charged twice.

We use the bus quite a lot and it is so easy and there is never any hassle. The drivers are very good and they will tell you where to get on and off for the bus, and th I Ride trolley drivers will also point you in the right direction. The stop and sea world is right outside the renaissance hotel.

Yeah i read that about a month ago they installed a new stop at Westside, its on the route map and everything. http://www.golynx.com/schedule.cfm?route=50

Its just as I am staying at POP it seems a bit daft to go all the way up to the TTC only to come all the way back down and then onwards to SW. 1 bus to DTD and then the Lynx from there is a lot more en route!

Oh, OK I didn't know there was a stop at DTD now. In that case, yes, it's behind Disney Quest as such. Keep on walking away from DTD past Disney Quest (sort of to the side on the left) and the bus stops are all behind there. I have to say there are a few and I'm not sure where the bus would stop but you would be able to see it as soon as it turned in to the area anyway.
