Hello everyone. My name is Tim and I'm Lynn's fiance (Lynn5700). I wanted to get some feedback for you all to get some ideas to surprise her while we are down getting married on May 7th. I already know about Disney Florists and I know I want to do a couple things from there, but I don't know how they do things. Does anyone know if they can come deliver things at certain times? I want to get the Romance with Rose Petals put on the bed while we are out so that when we come back from our luncheon they will be there when we go to get changed. I also want to do the Enchanted Evening Awaits also. I can't really do anything with wine or champagne because she doesn't really like that stuff only sparkling cider lol. Another problem I have is that I can't surprise her with any dinners anywhere because she is a freak and has already booked everything and also included her parents and our best friends so I can't leave them hangin. Can anyone else think of anything I can do as a little surprise and something romantic? I'm not that great with this romance business and she really does deserve the best after everything she has been through this past year, I'm sure she has told you. Any input would be great thanks.:donald:

AAAWWWWW.... Aren't you the sweetest DF! Lynn is sooo lucky!!!

Hmm... I'm not sure about the florist stuff because I've never used them BUT I can give you my opinion on dinners.
Like your Lynn I am also a freak with making ressies... :lmao:

So, my suggestions:
1. Ask which places she's made reservations at and pick one of the restaurants to do something really sweet for her. A special dessert or call the place and ask them something special they can do... :)

OR

2. Do a private dining at your hotel (I'm not sure what hotel you're staying at) on the 1 night where you know she's not too attached to the restaurant. If my DF were to do something like that I would drop the reservation in a heartbeat... :rotfl:
I know the deluxe hotels do something like this.

OR
3. Have you heard about the Ft wilderness horse drawn carriage? That sounds like something romantic to do right after dinner :)

Have fun planning your romantic night!!!
Lynn is such a lucky gal ;)

Thanks a lot those are good ideas. I'll definately have to look into those, BTW what's a DF?

My husband also arranged to have chocolate covered strawberries for our room through private dining.

There are also cruises for the fireworks. You can book them for Wishes for the Magic Kingdom fireworks or for Illuminations. I've done both with familly, but I know they would be romantic too :wizard: The carriage rides are also at Port Orleans-Riverside.

Besides romantic things you could book one of the backstage tours depending on what the two of you like to do at the parks :goodvibes

Are you eating at the Coral Reef? If you are you can call the coral reef at
407-560-6856 and talk to Debbie. She's very sweet and she can set it up so there is a diver in the tank at the time you guys are there. The diver will hold up a sign with a personalized special message. You can also email her pictures and she can make a personalized menu for the two of you. This is something you could do without Lynn knowing.

Ooh great idea on the cruises... forgot about that.
But these things fill up fast... if you have this in mind I suggest call soon to find out availability...:thumbsup2

Not specifically romantic, but we have done the Around the World Segway Tour in Epcot twice and loved it both times (2-hour tour). It's really great to be in Epcot before it opens and to be riding around on the Segways. They are alot of fun and it's something you can do early in the morning so you still have the whole day left.

Tim!!!! YOU ARE SOOOOOOO SWEET AND THOUGHTFUL!!!
I am going to suggest the carriage rides at Port Orleans Riverside. They are pretty inexpensive (less than $50) and they are so romantic and calming. I really really really liked the one I went on.

PS. My DF is going to hate you. I am showing him this thread as soon as I get home. He must also have a surprise planned for me. :lmao:

Hi, this is not a very big surprise but if you're staying on property you could leave a secret message for housekeeping and ask them to make some special towel animals for your fiance. I know people have done this before and they've made some larger than life animals! Just be sure to leave a generous tip!

You could also try a special tour like a behind the scenes tour, or the segway tour. If yougo to a restaurant make sure you tell them that it's a special occassion, they're more than likely to decorate your table or give you a free desert.

Oooh, another idea, if you speak to guest services at one of the theme parks you could explain that you want to surprise your fiance and ask if you could be the "guest family" in the parade?! There was someone on this site who's fiance proposed to her in the Magic Kingdom and involved the Dapper Dans. They sang some romantic songs to her and then I think they had a private carriage ride up Main Street...just an idea!

Good luck! Lynn is a very lucky lady!

I think the cariage at Ft. Wilderness would be romantic, but that's how my DF proposed, so I guess you could say I'm parcial to it. You can arrange through Disney florist to have flowers or champagne waiting for you! And, the way they took us, there was a stopping point where you can see the castle! You could even arrange to watch the fireworks from there if you timed it right!

Tim... you are too sweet! You need to talk to my DF!!! hahaha! I don't really have any ideas because I'm not a pro at this Disney stuff, haven't been there in YEARS! But I love the idea of the horse drawn carriage ride... that's how my DF proposed to me too! Except ours was in Central Park, NYC. :)

You have to do me a favor. Go to your DF and put your hand on his shoulder, look at the ground while shaking your head and say... Sorry I didn't know lol. For me though.

Delete please!

This was me not Lynn, she always leaves herself logged in and it bugs me to death!!:headache:

Any more nice ideas, I think I may do a horse carriage thingy at the Riverside place, I'm gonna try and call tomorrow but Lynn is always done work early and I wanna surprise her and she will hear at home lol.

hahah

I was going to say the same thing!!

I LOVE the carriage ride- and you could give her a little note/card with a carriage on it and write something romantic about riding off into the sunset together (I am a total sap!)

Tim- here are my ideas, if you want more-

1) a massage at the spa
2) get a special gift- earrings, etc. and have the waitress at one of your ADR's hide it/present it with dessert
3)Disney floral will send great gift baskets, cinderella's slipper on a flower pillow, etc.
4) arrange a scavenger hunt or something similar, either yourself or through a company called Gifts of A Lifetime. There are amazing things they've done there.
5) Honestly one of the cutest things my DF did for me when we had some time together was to give me a little gift each day- a Disney game, a nail polish, a pretty silver bookmark. Each day I found something - in a shoe, in my makeup bag, under my pillow, in a drawer, etc.
