Hi everyone!
My name is Fallon (Lyn for short) and I'm going to try my hand at writing a pre-trip report!
First a little about us!
Lyn
Nicknames: Belle and Penny (you'll get it if you watch Big Bang Theory)
Age: 21
About Me: I am currently a student at Le Cordon Bleu:Boston studying to be a pastry chef. My dream is to take my mom's old business and make it big! I am uber excited that we are going down during Food and Wine because, as a culinary student, I think it'll be loads of fun and very educational! My favorite TV shows are Cake Boss, The Nanny and Big Bang Theory
and now we'll go on to:
Tim
(Tim with his daughter Makenzie)
Nicknames: Beast and Leonard (again, Big Bang Theory. Can you tell we love this show?)
Age: 29
About Tim: His username on here is actually Timmac! He has 4 kids, ages 9-3, all who are simply adorable. He is a software developer and a new owner of DVC! He also has an AP so, as you can guess, he goes down a lot. He also love to run marathons, which prompts this trip!
Now about the two of us:
Tim and I met on DIS about 2-3 months ago. When we first met, neither of us were looking for a "relationship" since he just got out of a marriage, and me out of an engagement. (I have an old account on here where I had a PJ, but when my ex broke it off I made a new account). So we originally were planning on being just friends, and that was it.
During this time, I was looking to start anew, so I was planning on packing my bags and going somewhere I've never lived before. I was born and raised in Florida and decided to attend LCB in Boston (yes, I actually moved AWAY from the mouse!
)
As I was getting ready to apply, loads of stuff happened, and since Tim was going to be down for the Muddy Buddy race, we decided it'd be good if we came up to New England together.
On the way to MCO Tim surprised me by taking me to Kona for a date. (Yes our first date was at Disney! That pretty much rocked!), and then we did the monorail loop and got ready for our flight.
After we arrived in Manchester, we decided to become a couple....both coming from rocky relationships, we were nervous to make the decision, but honestly? It's the best one I've made in a while! (Well that, and moving up to Boston, but we'll see if that changes come my first snowfall!).
Shortly after we started dating, Tim was talking about doing the Wine and Dine race at Disney in the beginning of October! He then asked if I would go with him if he went. Let's just say he REALLY had to twist my arm to make me come
.
So after DAYS of convincing (ok ok! It was more like 5 seconds!) he booked us to stay at Saratoga Springs from October 1st-4th. We also made dining reservations for the morning of the 4th for Crystal Palace before MK opens! Yay for awesome pictures!
Besides Crystal Palace, we are going to enjoy Food and Wine (as a culinary student, I'm looking forward to this!) Hopefully we can spend a whole day there and attend the seminars. I did food and wine before (kinda) when I worked at Epcot last year on my CP. However it ended EXACTLY a week TO THE DAY before I turned 21! So this year, I get to experience it to it's fullest. (Even though I don't predict a lot of drinking for me, I tend to not like the taste of alcohol).
So yeah. That's us! Look forward to posting more later!
