Luvmydogs' Never Yo-Yo Again Journal (comments welcome!) *UPDATE pg. 9* GOAAAAAAL!

Oh Kim! Yeah I tried that once with a full size featherbed and had the same reaction. Not pretty. I hope you can salvage it.

Thanks for your support and hugs today - it meant alot. I am doing much better now because of everyone! :)

Have a great day today and try not to stress about the feathers......

~Amanda

Hi Kim.

I am so sorry to hear about your featherbed. Congrats on another OP day, and I am glad Jeanne was uneventful.
Take care,'
Beth

Good Thursday afternoon WISHers! :sunny:

Let me first apologize for not getting to journals yesterday--it was one of those busy-from-morning-'til-night days that I know *everyone* here is familiar with! I'm going to head on over to journals as soon as I'm done here. :)

I have some terrific news to report. I officially weigh-in on Mondays, but I just felt like checking the scale this morning. Well, lo and behold the scale showed 129 pounds--a three pound loss since Monday! :hyper: :confused3 I must have gotten on and off that scale 20 times just to make sure. I also had ds9 come in to be my witness! I've been OP and have exercised all week, but I had no idea that I'd have such a big loss in just three days. But like I said, yesterday was incredibly busy (I had to get up at 4am just to fit my exercise in! :crazy2: ), and I didn't really eat a lot, so I'm sure that contributed to the loss. And I guess that ultimately it's your body that decides when it's ready to let go of the weight (and mine made a really good decision today!). Now I'm just four pounds from my original and goal weight. :) Thanks so much to all of you for helping me get this far! :grouphug:

Today was a rest day for me but I plan on staying OP--this morning's loss is such a motivator! :cool1:

Have a lovely Thursday everyone! :sunny:

:cheer2: :thewave: :thewave: :cheer2:
CONGRATULATIONS ON AN AWESOME 3 POUND LOSS!!

That is great. You are so close to your goal, and I KNOW you'll stay there. I love the fact that you had DD witness your weight.:rotfl:

Have an awesome weekend,
Beth

Way to go Kimmy Kim!!!!!:jumping1: :thewave: You are doing a fabulous job, girl! You will be back at goal weight soon!!! I am so proud of you!

Have a wonderful weekend!:sunny:

Tracy Trace:wave:

P.S. By the way... my DH has been deejaying with a friend some weekends for extra money for WDW. Maybe he can get our band some air time.:rockband: :teeth:

Hello everyone! :wave2:

I hope you all are having a wonderful start to the weekend! Can you believe it's October 2 already?! Hopefully the weather here will start reflecting the calendar--we've been known to have to use our air conditioning up until Thanksgiving! :crazy2: Not what this Transplanted NE Pennsylvanian is used to! Awwww, heck--I've lived here 11 years now, you think I'd be used to it by now and quit complaining!

Yesterday was a good OP day for me and I did Cathe Freidrich's Step Blast for my hour of exercise. I've had trouble with kidney stones for the last two months, and they started up again yesterday afternoon. :headache: Gosh, I wish the'y just pass already, they can be so painful! So, no exercise for me today and I'm tempering my eating to accommodate the lack of activity. TOM came today too, so I've been sitting here alternating the heating pad from my kidney to my...ummm...uterus? :confused3  I must admit, I am milking this situation just a wee bit... :bitelip:

Enjoy the weekend everyone! :sunny:

Hey Kim...way to go on that 3 lb loss this past week. Sorry I haven't visited this week...been fighting my own demons...but I'll be back in full force! Take care! Gail

Gentle  Kim,

I am sorry that you are in pain. Kidney stones are awful. When I was pregnant with Katie, Won had to pass a stone. It was smaller than a pea. As soon as I had Katie (9 pounds 8oz), Won's statement was, "Now you can understand what I went thru." My doctor laughed so hard he almost wet himself. Then he explained what an episiotomy is, and Won passed out. He hasn't mentioned his kidney stone again.

I hope you pass yours soon, and the pain lessens. I highly suggest good drugs, and milking the pain for all it is worth.

,
Beth

Oh Beth! I had a c-section, but Sister, I feel your pain! :faint: Now if Won would've passed a stone the size of a grapefruit, I would give him his due props! I'm glad your Dr. set him straight!

Yesterday was a good OP day even though I didn't exercise. The kidney stone pain has diminished greatly, so today I got up early and did Cathe Freidrich's Pyramid Upper Body and Legs & Glutes workouts--I felt the need to make up for yesterday's lack of activity. My muscles are still twitching eight hours later! :headache: DOH!

I'm looking forward to weigh-in tomorrow, although I can't imagine that with my big loss during the week, I'll have lost anymore. That's OK though--as long as I've maintained at 129, I'm still only four pounds away from goal. It's a great feeling!
:D :D :D

I'm hoping everyone's enjoying their Sundays! :sunny:

Hi Kim,

Glad you are feeling better. I've never had one, but some patients have had kidney stones and have been reduced to tears! Take care of yourself.

Beth that is such a great story. The population would greatly diminish if men had to have babies wouldn't it?;)

Hi Kim,

I am glad you are feeling better. Just remember to take it easier on yourself for a couple of days. Those stress hormones can play havoc on your body. Here's some :wizard: for weighin.
Have a good evening,
Beth

:wave2: Hi Kim! :wave2:

I've just caught up on your journal! Your workout regimen never ceases to amaze me! I bet you have a great lookin' buff bod!! ::yes::

Hope those kidney stones are long gone and you're having a fabulous Sunday! :sunny:

kim you are such an inspiration!!

take care of yourself!!!

Kim- I hope you are feeling better soon. I have heard that stones are the worst pain. I can't relate. Beth is so funny with her story about Won... 129 is great. Good luck making it down to 125.

Mary

Hi Kimmy Kim!:wave2:

How are you feeling today? We are keeping you in our prayers. Please be sure and take extra-special, super-duper, good care of you, okay?

I hope you have a fabulous week!:Pinkbounc

Hello all you Wonderful WISHers :wave2: and thank you for all your healthy kidney thoughts!:teeth: The pain has been much more manageable the last two days!

I apologize to you all that I won't be getting to your journals today. I've been at ds's school all day and tonight we have to find the time to squeeze in his 3rd grade play and a baseball game! :moped: I promise to catch up with all of you tomorrow!

I weighed in at 129 this morning, which means I didn't lose any more since Wednesday--but it's still a 3 lb. loss since last week! :) I'm only 4 pounds short of getting back to my goal weight, and I can't tell you how grateful I am to you all for helping me get there! I JUST LOVE YOU GUYS!!! :grouphug:

Today I haven't eaten much at all--it's just been such a busy day. I'm also making today a rest day. I've decided to do an active recovery week--just some light walking (WATP 4 Mile) and yoga (FIRM Yoga) and weightlifting. "Experts" (whomever they are nowadays!) recommend taking a rest (or active rest) week after every 2-4 months of intense training, so I'm going to try it and see how it goes. I think my Ol' Bod's looking for a little break and I'm anxious to see how it responds! Along with this, I'm also really going to work on eating clean this entire week. Hopefully, I'll be feeling really rested and rejuvinated come next Monday!

Have a wonderful evening everybody, and I *will* see you at your journals tomorrow! Thank you so much for all support and inspiration! :love2:

Hi Kim,

Wow did yo have the incredibly busy schedule today. Don't worry about journals. You may need a rest day to just recover from today's schedule. :faint: I bet the play was adorable though. We will want details. I will be interested in how your rest week goes. I may just try that myself. Have a great evening.
Beth

Good morning Kimmy Kim!:sunny:

Whew!:faint: I am exhausted just reading all that you had to do yesterday. How did it all go?

I have a quick question for you. With all of the FIRMing that you have done, did you ever experience knee pain? My knees have felt kind of achey lately and I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to stop FIRMing, but I don't want to injure them badly either.

I hope you have a wonderful day today! Oh... by the way... DH is working on getting us a "gig". Maybe we should start coming up with a list of music we want to play.:rockband: ;)

Take care!

Hi everyone! :wave2:

Oh, I've been grazing all day! I don't think I've eaten a whole lot of calories, but I've been constantly nibbling on something or another...:crazy2: I'm not sure I'd call it going off program, but it sure as heck isn't staying on...! :scratchin I started my active recovery week, doing a 4 mile WATP workout and 1/2 hour of yoga. The yoga stretch felt sooooooo goooooood! :cloud9:

Last night was busy but fun, and ds went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's at his baseball game. We didn't get home 'til after 10 and Chris zoomed around the house for half an hour until he calmed down. Testosterone Poisoning.

I'm sorry this is so short---I've got spelling words to go over and yet another game to go to in about 45 minutes! :moped:

Have a great evening WISHers and I'll see you all tomorrow! :grouphug:
