Luvmydogs' Never Yo-Yo Again Journal (comments welcome!) *UPDATE pg. 9* GOAAAAAAL!

Hi Kim,

Great job with the killer workout. I may have to check into the Cathe videos for days I can't make it to the Y. Congrats on resisting the popcorn. You are doing an amazing job.
Have a good evening,
Beth

Good Morning WISHers!:sunny:

This week continues to go really well for me and I'm looking forward to weigh-in on Monday! Yesterday I stayed OP, except for a teenie tiny bite of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup my dh brought home. Oh OK, it wasn't exactly a teenie tiny bite, but GEEZ LOUISE! those things are sooooo good! Luvmydogs slinks away with her tail between her legs........:rolleyes1 :teeth:

I want to thank everyone SO VERY MUCH for continuing with your kind, funny, caring and supportive posts. When I originally lost 110 pounds, I knew WISH existed but didn't join because I was afraid I wouldn't succeed and let everyone down. Well, someone thrash me with a high-carb noodle, because this would've been a great place to be when I was struggling through many, many difficult times and transitions. I only hope I'm giving back the same love and encouragement that you're all giving to me.:grouphug:

Have a wonderful Thursday, WISHers, and please stay Ivan-safe! Luv & Hugs to all!:love2:

Hi Kim,

I love Reese peanut butter cups too. Actually, I saw a low carb Reese at Costco, but I resisted. It is not a good idea for me to large quantities of lc candies in the house.

You contnue to do an amazing job, and I know you will be back at goal in no time.

Have a great Thursday,
Beth

Hi everybody!:wave2:

This is going to be a very short post as we are having intermittent Ivan-induced power outtages--please excuse me if I don't get to journals today!

Yesterday I stayed OP and did Cathe Friedrich's Step Blast for my hour of exercise. I'm looking forward to my weigh-in on Monday--I'm hoping for another two pounds, but will take anything I can get! :)

I hope everyone affected by Ivan is safe and well. Have a wonderful start to the weekend, WISHers! :grouphug:

Kim, you are doing so great! Don't worry babe, you definitely give boatloads of encouragement to us and we love ya for it! ::hug::

I hope you are staying safe and having a great weekend! :wave2:

Good Sunday Morning WISHers!:sunny:

Today is just the most breautiful day! Usually at this time of the year it is still awfully warm in Georgia, but this morning we woke up to 56 degrees! I opened the windows and let all the fresh air in--it was just gorgeous! It's starting to warm up now, but the coolness felt so rejuvinating after such a long, hot summer. It really put this Transplanted Northerner (who misses September sweater-weather!) in a great mood! :hyper:

I haven't updated my journal since Friday, but things have continued to go very well for me. I stayed OP Fri. and Sat. and exercised both days. We went grocery shopping yesterday and I resisted the urge (to the chagrin of dh & ds) to buy junk food. If it's not here, I can't eat it--and dh & dh don't need it either. We bought some extra fruit and protein bars (for my chocolate-fix!) to munch on. It feels good not to even have that stuff in the house.

I'm hoping for another good day today--weekends are my toughest time, which is why I'm doing my weigh-ins on a Monday--hopefully that'll keep me in line! :)

I'll be back tomorrow with the weigh-in results--it better be good, I've been an angel all week! Big Luv & Hugs to you all! :love2:

Way to go Kim! You are doing fantastic!!

Today has been so beautiful outside...I've opened up the house and let the breeze in! With the football game on and the cool breeze..it felt like fall! (I know it's only a couple days away...but you know what I mean)

I can't wait to see your weigh in tomorrow! Good luck!

Gail

Good Monday Afternoon everyone!:sunny:

Well, I was hoping for a 2 pound loss this week, but I came up .5 short! I lost 1.5, for a total of 7 pounds these past two weeks which means I have 8 more to lose until I'm back at goal weight. The only time I went off program was when I had a bite of a peanut butter cup, and I exercised 6 times, so I was hoping to lose a little more. This'll just have to do...no complaints.:D

Yesterday I stayed OP and did Cathe Friedrich's BootCamp for my hour of exercise. I'm hoping for another good day today!

Have a lovely Monday WISHers!:grouphug:

I love to wake up in the morning when the air is cool. Hopefully we will be in sweater mode soon. I know I am ready to ditch the T-shirts! :)

Hi WISHers and a Happy Tuesday to you all. :wave2:

Thanks so much, everybody, for stopping by my journal and making me smile with all your happy and encouraging posts. :D

Yesterday was an OP day and I did The FIRM's Maximum Cardio Burn for my hour of exercise. Our cat died yesterday and I really wasn't in an eating kind of mood. She was an indoor-only cat who at times tried to sneak out the door. Well, yesterday she bolted right between my legs as I was opening our front door and ran into the next door neighboor's yard. I went to try to get her, but when I got too close she took off into the street and was hit by a big Federal Express truck. She never had a chance. She was already unconcious as I ran her to our vet who said she had a broken back, pelvis, etc...and that she'd never make it. He let me hold her while he put her to sleep. Having to tell ds9 that his beloved Pumpkin had died was just the worst. He always tries to be so Pre-Teen Macho, but all he did was cry and cry. He told me he was going to ask God to let Pumpkin's soul sleep next to him that night--and then I lost it. It was a yucky day.

Sorry to go OT and vent... Today is a better day and we're all feeling OK. I'm keeping my tag as it is to remember our little Pumpkin. Love you sweet girl.

I hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday and I'll be back tomorrow in much better spirits, I'm sure.

Lots of Love & Hugs to my WISH-Friends. :grouphug:

Kim:

I'm so sorry you lost poor Pumpkin. I think it's time for another WISH grouphug. :grouphug:

Oh Kim...I'm so sorry to hear about Pumpkin. Definitley time for a :grouphug: It's just so sad..I don't know what else to say.

Gail

Oh, Kim.... I am sending big     your way. I am so sorry to hear about your little Pumpkin.:( :grouphug: Please give your DS a  from all of us too. Take good care of you, sweetie.

Tracy

 Kim i'm so sorry to read about the loss of pumpkin --

:worship: :worship: you've lost 8 whole pounds already! it what - like three weeks! YOU SO TOTALLY:rockband:

i'm feeling a bit competitive - not really in character for me. but if you can do it so can I! no more Mrs. slacky ohMom for me!:crazy2:

seriously, i'm very impressed -- you are obviously a sock-it-to-me kinda gal and you are getting results for your consciousness of your activity and eating! what plan do you follow now? how many calories a day do you think you're eating! wowser!!

cyber high five luvdoggies!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Good Wednesday Morning WISHers and an EXTRA BIG HIYA! TO OHMOM!!! :hyper:

First of all, let me thank you for all the warm Pumpkin-wishes. :grouphug: It was so very kind of everyone to take the time to send me hugs--they really made me smile and think of all our good times! WISHers RULE!:D

Yesterday I did Cathe Friedrich's IMAX 2 for my exercise and I stayed OP--except I did go off a bit at night. I had a bag of M&M's at ds's ballgame. I wasn't in the mood to argue with my cravings, so I just went right along with them. I think it's OK though, because when your cat dies and you're sad, you're allowed to eat unlimited quantities of chocolate. What is that magic ingredient in chocolate that makes women feel so good?

OH MY OHMOM!!! It is sooooooo good to hear from you! We can so do this together, Molli! I really wish I wouldn't have let myself lapse in the first place. I complained a lot about how difficult maintenance was, but having to lose everything I allowed myself gain back really bites! :headache: I've gone back to the way I lost the 110 in the first place--portion control and nutritious eating, and luckily I never stopped exercising 6 days/week. I estimate that I'm probably eating @ 1700-1800 cal./day now to get back in losing mode. When I was maintaining at 125-127 lbs., I was eating @ 2000-2200. Honestly because of all my exercise I could really eat that much and stay the same. Can you imagine how many calories I was eating to put back on 15?! I was binging out of control and so upset and angry with myself. I will never, ever do this to myself again.

Once again, I thank you all for your sweet words of support, encouragement and comfort. I'm so happy to be a part of such a kind and caring group of people.

Have a lovely Hump Day, my friends! :sunny:

You definitely deserved a little chocolate yesterday!

You are on a roll!

So, you are taking in about 1700 calories now and losing?? What is your secret?? When I lost my 100 pounds...I think I was averaging 1200 calories a day...and exercising all the time. But I was very strict about what I ate. Stayed low fat mostly. And you are having success still. After I gained back about 50 lbs over the last 3 years...it has been so hard to take off...but I'm still trying!

You are such a motivation!!

Take care...Gail
