Doe, I'm so laughing my butt off right now (is that exercise?)! All I can think is ~

You've lost that bloated feeling
Whoa, that bloated feeling
You've lost that bloated feeling
Now it's gone, gone, gone
Whoa.....

:rotfl:

Kim, congratulations on the loss! You definitely are back in control and we are all so proud of you! ::yes::

 OMG! I swear that when I read Doe's post I started singing the same song! And yes, I have lost that bloated feeling! Thanks for the laugh, Doreen! :teeth:

Yesterday was a terrific day! I stayed OP and did Cathe Friedrich's Step, Jump & Pump dvd for my hour of exercise. When I got on the scale, it showed another 2 lb. loss, which makes my total 5.5 lbs. gone. :) Yesterday was one of those busy-from-morning-to-night days, which meant I didn't have time to even think about nibbling--it worked out pretty well for me!

Lots of Love & Hugs to everyone who's been here with all your kind support and words of encouragement! :love2:  Have a wonderful day, WISHers!:sunny:

When I posted that phrase I had absolutely NO IDEA it would spark such fun!! :hyper: :teeth:  Princess Michelle made me laugh out loud with her song and great minds must think alike if you were singing it too!! Losing that bloated feeling is certainly something to sing about though!! ::yes::

Congrats on another 2 pounds gone!! You're doing great - keep it up for another day!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Hi Kim,

That song is too funny! I think it should definitely be the theme song for the WISH!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I hope that you are having a fabulous week! Thank you so much for your prayers and support. I appreciate you Kim!

Have a great Friday!

Tracy:wave2:

Kim...

Step, Pump & Jump! I think Body Blast disc 1 is my favorite 'cause I like SPJ & Step Blast.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Kim, I can't believe that you were singing that song too! LOL I'm glad I'm not the only one with a whacko brain! :crazy2: ;) LOL

I hope you're having an awesome day! :)

Dear Kim, I'm working on getting Tom Cruise and some other appropriately hot guys to come to Georgia and sing to you. Unfortunately, they are all busy at the moment, but I'll keep at it! You just never know...... :teeth:

Hope you have a great day!! Thanks for starting mine with a giggle and a smile!! :sunny:

"That's right, IceMan...I am DANGEROUS..." WOO HOO!!! Thank you Doe! Now if we can just get these guys to duplicate the Flex & Pose volleyball scene...:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: Thanks for the laugh!

Well, good morning everybody! Things continue to go well for me! I stayed OP yesterday (I did have a small scoop of Cookies-n-Cream ice cream :scared: ) and did a combination FIRM/Cathe Friedrich workout. I'm not going to weigh myself until Monday, but I assume after losing 5.5 lbs. in five days, that the loss will be slowing down a bit. That's OK--I'm keeping my eyes on the prize! :)

I just want to take a moment to remember the history of today, September 11, and all those who risk and give their lives everyday in the service of others. I'd like to also remember three special people today: Lisa, John and Jim. God Bless us all and grant us peace.

Have a lovely day, WISHers, and thank you all for setting such a wonderful example of caring for others--it's so important, more than ever.:grouphug:

Good Sunday Morning everyone!:sunny:

Such fun posts from everyone yesterday! I hope you all know how much your sense of fun and engaging spirit motivate me to do my best!

Yesterday was another great day! I stayed OP and walked/jogged for @ 30 minutes. I usually do exercise videos for my workouts (3 cardio, 1 circuit, 2 weights-only per week), but I'm going to try the Couch To 5k Running Program. It's an interval program to get you from starting at a walk/jog pace to running 5K in @ 3 months. I discovered yesterday that I may be able to do aerobics for 1-1.5 hours, but that I am no runner! I'm going to give it a shot though, because supposedly running really leans you out. And runners are just so cool!:cool1: I'm going to try for another run this morning after an upper body workout. Will any of you WISHers be available to come pick me up off the floor after I've collapsed in a heap?:hyper:

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday. Please excuse me if I don't get to journals today, we're taking a day trip to the zoo! I'll be back on Monday with my weigh-in results, and I thank you all once again for sharing your strength and enthusiasm with me!:grouphug:

Good Monday Morning!:sunny:

Who can believe it's Monday already? I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!:)

I weighed in this morning and the scale hasn't budged since Friday--I'm still 134.5, which means a total of 5.5 lbs. lost during my first week back on program. Not bad, not bad at all.:) Now, just 9.5 more to go and I'll be back down to my goal weight. Note to self: Just because you exercise six times a week doesn't mean you may eat huge quantities of anything you want and still stay at goal! It took me 15 months of hard work, sweat and sometimes tears to lose 110 lbs. and I don't want to ever put myself in the position of having to go through that again. Maintenance is difficult, but I must take control of my actions, habits and emotions if I want to be healthy forever. No one else can sabotage my efforts--I have sole responsibility for what I put in my mouth. Exercise is an important part of the health + fitness equation, but without proper nutrition and self-control, it is incomplete! Lesson learned!:)

Yesterday was fun--we spent the whole day at the zoo! The only nutritious meal I had yesterday was breakfast. The Columbia Zoo doesn't have a lot of healthy food choices and I ended up eating a slice of pizza for lunch, a soft pretzel for a snack and fries for dinner. I didn't overeat, but obviously the high nutritional content wasn't there! I went for a run before we left, so I did manage to get in some good exercise. It was a great family day, though, with lots of laughs and love.:)

Today it's back to being OP and I'm going to be doing Cathe Friedrich's Kick, Punch & Crunch kickboxing workout for my exercise. I'm hoping this week for maybe another two pounds gone--I've signed up for the Thanksgiving Challenge, and I'm expecting to be back to goal by then.

Have a Marvelous Monday, WISHers! I promise to get to journals later on today--right now I'm off to clean ds9's bedroom and bathroom.:scared: :crazy2: Now...where's my HAZMAT uniform? :teeth:

Hi Kim!!!!

How you are my WISH-sis? I just read through your journal and want to say what a great job you have done! Losing 5.5 pounds in a week is just awesome!!!!

My favorite post from you was:

Note to self: Just because you exercise six times a week doesn't mean you may eat huge quantities of anything you want and still stay at goal.

I may not be at or close to goal like you but I do sometimes find myself eating more than I should and feeling it's okay because I work out 7 days per week. NOT!!! You are so right. Thanks for the reminder. It takes dedication in the areas of nutrition and exercise to get to goal. You know you are one of my very special WISH inspirational friends and I just wanna say how proud I am of you and how I want to be just like you when I grow up!

Have a great week and I'll try to stop by again soon!!! Hugs and love from me to you!!!

I wish that public places like zoos and amusement parks offered more healthy snacks. But it sounds like you did pretty good. I need to get back into my exercise groove and your post is encouraging me to do so!

Have a great day!

~Amanda

Good morning Kim,

I love reading your journal! You are so positive and :sunny: and your posts always brighten up my day.::yes:: :teeth:

Congratulations Kim! 5.5 pounds in one week is awesome!:jumping1: You are almost half way to your goal! Woohoo!:Pinkbounc

I'm glad you had fun at the Zoo yesterday. We went to the Cleveland Zoo and had a great time too!::yes::

Have a wonderful day today!:sunny:

Tracy:wave:

Hi Kim,

You did the best you could with the choices available yesterday. No one can ask for more. ::yes:: I too struggle to stop overeating when I done a really hard workout. Thanks for the reminder.
Have a good day,
Beth

Way to go on the 5.5 lb loss Kim! That is great...you will be back at goal in no time!! You are doing terrific!! Keep up that positive attitude...you are a true inspiration! Take care!

Gail

Good Morning WISHers!:sunny:

Yesterday was another great day! I stayed OP and did an hour of kickboxing! It made me feel soooooo macho....:cool1: My ds9 is playing in a Fall baseball league and he had a game last night. I was unbelievably tempted by the smell of that yummy concession stand popcorn, but with thoughts of all you WISHers silently cheering me on in my head, I escaped popcorn-less! Thank you!!!:love2:

I'm off to exercise right now--it's a weightlifting day. I'm working on another OP day today, and I'll be thinking of you all as that Demon Popcorn calls to me again tonight....:scared:

Have a Terrrrrrrific Tuesday, WISHers, and I'll see you at journals later today!:wave2:

You are doing great. I liked reading your first post. I know it is so easy for the weight to sneak up on you but you are nipping it in the bud now. GOOD GIRL! Way to go on your no-popcorn success! Little choices make big differences!
Mary:D

Hi Kim,

:worship: :worship: :teeth: Great job resisting the popcorn last night. I know what you mean. I love the smell of popcorn and coffee. I also gain pounds just looking at it. Good Luck tonight. How did your son's team do?

Have a good evening,
Beth

Good Morning WISHers!:sunny:

This has been another good week so far for me.:D Yesterday I stayed OP and did some heavy weightraining for 1.5 hours--I'm verrrrrrry sore today!:headache: I resisted the Demon Popcorn at ds's baseball game again last night--another small but significant victory!:teeth: I'm hoping for another great day today, and all the wonderfully kind, encouraging and caring posts from all you Winning WISHer Women help me so much!:cool1:

I hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday and for those in the oncoming path of Ivan, please stay safe.

BIG LUV & HUGS TO ALL :love2: :grouphug: and I'll see you at journals this afternoon!

Hey girl!

How are ya? You are doing a fabulous job!! I had to laugh this morning because I realized that in my Walkman at this very moment is none other than the Top Gun soundtrack. And of course when "Playing with the Boys' comes on by Kenny Loggins, I think of the Flex and Pose on the beach.;) :smooth: Woohoo! A great way to start the day if I do say so myself.:teeth:

I hope you have a wonderful day today!:sunny:

Tracy:wave:

Kim:
Great job with 2 of Cathe's weight training videos. I can see why you're a little sore today. I haven't tried the whole legs & glutes yet, it's on my list of Cathe workouts that I have to try. I did try the part of the legs & glutes workout that is on Timesaver #5. I snapped & bought the whole set of Cathes. But I love them & I think they're worth every penny I spent.

I no longer eat Demon popcorn. I've substituted demon popcorn with it's lighter cousin 94% fat free popcorn. Not quite as lethal as it's buttery cousin.
