LuvLuvLuv's Memories TR Starts Pg 73 - Honeymoon Day 6.1

Wow! What a beautiful dress! You look gorgeous in it! I was going to say that I didn't think it needed anything until I read Wendy's suggestion. Try a sparkly bracelet (a wider one..I forget what they're called).

Congrats on getting the resort change. And oh yeah, you had me cracking up with your mascara story!!

A cuff! I really think it will add even more of a "wow" factor.

WOW!! That dress and headband are amazing!!

I think you look stunning!

I hope everything works out for you and you have the magical wedding you deserve without any headache...

You totally rock that dress! The headband looks great with it. I agree that a bracelet will really make it pop. You're gonna be a beautiful bride!

I'm behind on your PJ but I'm sorry to hear about the shower. People can be really sh*tty. Don't let it bother you or take away from your wedding plans. Your wedding is going to be great, I'm sure it makes you happy that you're having a small wedding after seeing how everyone acted at the shower. Small and intimate is where its at!

So, about the whole 1 - 1.5 inches too long. My dress was exactly floor length and I still had to hike it up whenever I walked anywhere (except down the aisle, I just walked really really carefully). Moral of the story, don't fret about it!! It will work out just fine!

Secondly, and most importantly, you look amazingly stunning in that dress!!!! I read about your reaction and then slowly scrolled down (a bit nervous as I was anticipating disaster) and saw you... Wow! Honestly, you look great! If that is how you look before jewelry, make-up, and hair... Yummy stuff I tell you... Yummy stuff...

Now, I'm not the happiest with my weight either. Even though people tell me I don't look it (I think they are being polite) the scale doesn't lie and I need to lose another 40lbs in order be clinically "overweight". Right now, I'm clinically "obese". I've lost 15lbs already (before the wedding), but I am still not happy with me. Looking back at the pictures my friends and family have shown me, I can not stop looking at my face. I stare at it in absolutely shock that it is me. I don't even really look at my dress. In the pictures I'm just happy and glowing and with my hair and make-up done, that's all I look at. I know the same will be true for you (even though you may not believe me right now). You are a beautiful person and therefore on your wedding day you will just shine!

Heya Deena,

sorry to hear your shower wasn't great, I agree with a pp, people can be Sh*tty.

On a wonderfully sparkly note though your dress is beautiful and you look amazing in it. It's going to look great on the big day, I'm so excited for you because you truly deserve a wonderful day xx

Deena, sweetie ... you look amazing in that dress. And it's so flattering. I don't think you need to change a thing. And the headband really makes it. You don't need a necklace or anything.

Sorry about the shower .... exactly why I'm not bothering with one. None of my friends are super reliable and I know I'll be setting up the whole thing myself, and then no one would show up. Bah. *hugs* :grouphug:

Deena,

Your dress is beautiful!! Actually I have the same exact one :goodvibes
I can't believe it!!! Yes, I got suckered into paying $120 for the bottom hem. I walked out of David's spending a total of $240 on alterations. What a rip off!!!
That's so funny because I think we both have Randy Chapman booked as the photographer. It's going to be ground hog day for him!!!

I still haven't really made up my mind on the shoes. I had these t strap sandals but I wasn't really happy with them. Your shoes are cute and perfect for the beach!

Wow, I can't believe we only have a few weeks left. I'm scrambling to get everything together. I just ordered my park tickets and magical express. I still have to make an appt to keep my dogs at petsmart while we are away.
Oh yeah, remember I mentioned look for a little cute girl wearing purple? Well, I got her little purple tulle dress and apparently she hates tulle. She had a major tantrum. So at this point, look for a little naked girl ...hehehe

Well at least you got the party over with even though it was a disaster. It's in the past now and you can move forward.

Ok...let me clarify that I am "just a guy" therefore, I know that probably rules me out of having any valid opinion on the dress because what do men know, right? :rotfl2: But for what it's worth I think you look beautiful in your dress and I think it's just fine!

Next... the dog.

Hang on in there, you're in the home stretch and you're really close to the best day of your life!

Well thank you very much... a guys opinion counts too!! The dog was better for 2 days, then started again... but not nearly as bad--hopefully it's the end!! I'm hanging... the best I can!! Thanks for joining in!!

First of all love your dress and headband!!!! Very pretty, and I have to say, there is some definite va-voom factor!

As to the dog--it is common for dogs to have seasonal allergies. My border collie mix was very itchy about two weeks ago. I took him to the vet and they gave him an injection and put him on cephalexin. If you want to avoid the vet, the medicated baths are good to help clean off all the pollen, etc, but not too many and you should be able to give the dog benadryl. You can google it to find out the proper dosing. Or here: http://www.benadrylfordogs.org/ Also, you might call your vet and explain the situation and see if they will prescribe something without the visit fee. Hope that helps!

I've been doing half of a benedryl around bedtime. The main problem is that he sleeps on my pillow with me (odd I know) and when he scratches, he beats the he!! out of my head and scratches my face. It seems to be getting better--pshh, I've been taking the other half of the benedryl and have had great sleep all week. It helps my hives, clears my nose... win win!

Thanks for liking my dress and headband. I'm seriously obsessed with the headband. I think the flowers will make a statement. I think I just wanted to be mad about something :laughing:

I think the dress looks great! Perfect for a beach wedding! If you want to bling it up some more, maybe a big statement bracelet? I think once you have your bouquet, it will all come together nicely.

I agree with the others...it's probably allergies. I got antihistamines for my dog, but they seem to be getting better now (he doesn't itch..he chews his back feet).

Its very beachy--which I need to remember--I'm getting married on the beach :rotfl: I have a pretty sparkly bracelet, but I'm on the hunt for a cuff--I just don't want it to take away from the flowers. We'll see!! I'm taking 2 pr of earrings too, lol.

I think your dress looks beautiful. I have been reading about your wedding for the last two months, and have never posted on it, but I thought it was worth letting you be reassured that it looks gorgeous. Your wedding day will be here soon, and all of your stress will be gone and you will be in Disney!

Well thank you for joining in!! I appreciate your words!! I really cant wait for it to get here. I hope it eliviates lots of stress :)

I think your dress looks gorgeous on you! It really does look wonderful, I agree that maybe just jewelry will bling it up a little!

Yeah, I mean, I was in my living room after a long day without earrings, a flash, or washed hair :rotfl2: It'll be fine I'm sure :)

My sweet Deena - Can't help on the dress as I happen to think it looks perfect on you!!! I am not just saying it - I genuinely do!!! The headband is so pretty too. You are going to be such a princess!!!
Can't offer any doggy advice either (not really a doggy person - more a catty person :lmao: well, I hope not, but you know what I mean).
So close now hun!!!

I think the doggy is progressing--he'll be fine! Thanks for the reassurance. There had to be a reason I liked it when I ordered it right?

I agree! You look so pretty! :D You're going to look SO pretty on Luau Beach! :goodvibes

Thanks Thanks Thanks!!

Congrats on getting the resort change. And oh yeah, you had me cracking up with your mascara story!!

The mascara escapade was a hoot!! Thanks for liking the dress!!

A cuff! I really think it will add even more of a "wow" factor.

We shall see!!

WOW!! That dress and headband are amazing!!

I think you look stunning!

I hope everything works out for you and you have the magical wedding you deserve without any headache...

Thanks very much!! It's almost here!!

Thanks!!! The thing I'm the most happy about is that I'm not paying $135 per plate, $20 per chair, $10 per favor, etc for all those schmucks that claim to be his friends. The memories collection is the best thing that ever happened to us!!

So, about the whole 1 - 1.5 inches too long. My dress was exactly floor length and I still had to hike it up whenever I walked anywhere (except down the aisle, I just walked really really carefully). Moral of the story, don't fret about it!! It will work out just fine!

:hug: Thank you so much!! :hug:
At this point, it is what it is... I need to be happy with me and the fact the he loves no matter what! Although I still can't mentally get used to the fact that I'm bigger than "normal", I have to accept that this is me at this point in my life--the happiest point in my life. And I'm even happier to not pay for alterations!! Lol!

Thanks girl! If it's the one thing I've learned in this whole experience--it's not to rely on anyone--ever. Thanks for liking my stuff--I may just wear the headband everyday :laughing:

______________________________________

Today is Tuesday. We have our annual conference for work in town and it's crazy. What's even crazier that I remember updating during this time last year!! This PJ is soooooooooo old!!

The next 3 weeks will be like living in the poor house. There is nothing left over and our fridge/freezer looks so bare you can hear an echo.

Here's what's left on my to-do list:

Ring Cleaned
Dave's Hair Highlighted and Cut
My Hair Cut and Colored
Nails Done
Massage
Dave's Tickets
My AP Voucher
Add Celebrations to Meals
Baxter Bath (before we go)
Clean for DogSitter
Buy Postage for Announcements
Mail Announcements
Eye Appointment for Contacts - Rx Sunglasses Tightned
Pack
Conf Call with Jason
Find Out Where to Meet Planner
Make Vendor Envelopes
Make Folder for all Paperwork

That's all I can think of for now. A lot of it can't be done till later.

We leave 3 weeks from tomorrow. That sounds really soon!! It's either going to start dragging, or speeding up. I hope the latter!

Have a great rest of the week!!

The next 3 weeks will be like living in the poor house. There is nothing left over and our fridge/freezer looks so bare you can hear an echo.

:lmao: YES! We are twins. I was just thinking to myself that we need groceries, but I don't wanna buy too much because then we're leaving soon!!! Too funny.

Also, I never commented on here, because I "liked" on facebook, but I'm so happy you got your dress! And, I think it looks beautiful. Honestly, it's perfect. :lovestrucI wouldn't do much more too it, although I was thinking of a statement bracelet like Wendy and Andrea mentioned.

I think these next 3 weeks are gonna fly...Which is scary to think about! :bride:

Okay, so I was like woo hoo 3 weeks... now that it's 2 weeks and 6 days... it's time to freak out.

Today I woke up like a big ball of stress. I had a night long dream that made my blood boil, lol. Apparently, I had to work before we left on the plane to WDW, but I was all packed, and ready to go--just had to come home and get him and my bags. Well when I got home, he was in his pajamas on the couch and hadn't packed. He said he thought we were leaving the next day :confused3 We had a raging fight. There was no time to have him pack--we missed our plane. They wouldn't refund us the money, and there wasn't a plane leaving in time for us to make the wedding. We didn't have the money for new plane tickets. If we bought new tickets, we wouldn't have food money, lol. We never made it there before I woke up. I can't believe how stressed I was when the alarm went off. I was still really mad.

Anywho! My work (the office) threw me a surprise shower yesterday. It was amazing! The cake was precious -- it had a bride and groom with champagne on it. Custom cookies, ice cream, brownies, a catered fajita station from Moe's---and a very generous card :) I didn't really expect that, but it was sooooooooo nice. I was really happy!!

I'm trying to tie up loose ends here and there, but I'm so tired all the time that I find myself napping and sleeping in my spare time. I had Tuesday and Thursday night off this week and we had dinner at 6:30, and I was in bed by 8 both nights. I just don't want a repeat of our May trip when I was cleaning and packing at 3am, taking a 1 hour nap and getting up to finish the rest. I really would like to knock a little out at a time--I just have to stay awake!!

There was almost a Hair mishap. I got my invoice for my hair and it was $118 including tip. :eek: I had made the appt soooooooo long ago that I forgot the price, but was certain it wasn't this. All I wanted was a flat iron, a little volume on the crown, and the headband placement. So I called, with the intention of canceling--since I could buy a brand new flat iron plus hair product for $118. When I called and explained, she said she was sorry, she had sent out tons of invoices that day and must have been confused.... So it got corrected and it's $71 including tip--that's better. So at least I'm still getting it done. Not that I'm being cheap... but $118 is a bit much for someone to run a flat iron through your hair, tease one spot and hairspray you down.

Well I just logged in to the Disney site to stalk another Ohana reservation. I only made one, and we decided we want it twice, lol. I've been trying everyday. It says I leave in 19 days :scared1: I've been reading Food/Wine reviews and pictures... and I am sooo excited... lots of good stuff!!

Well I better get some work done! I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm working both days, but hopefully I get a little done!! :laundy:

Sorry you had such an awful dream! I had a bad nightmare the other night and it really gets you down for the whole day. But that was so sweet of your work to throw a little shower for you! How nice!

Yay for your surprise shower! And I'm glad you got the hair trial worked out! So soon!

Sorry you had such an awful dream! I had a bad nightmare the other night and it really gets you down for the whole day. But that was so sweet of your work to throw a little shower for you! How nice!

Lol.. they just keep coming!! It was fun... it made me :goodvibes

Yay for your surprise shower! And I'm glad you got the hair trial worked out! So soon!

I was like .... ugh..... not another obstacle, lol. But it's all good!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last night I dreamt that I forgot to call everyone with my room number and I missed getting my hair done, and Jason couldn't find me because I had to switch us to a different resort because we were poor :laughing: Is this going to happen for another 2 1/2 weeks??? :confused3
We're getting down to the wire. Budget wise... I'm coming up $1280 short (which is far better than the $3100 that I was). This is of course due to unkept promises, and FMIL not paying me back. I need a miracle and a money tree :laughing: I've cut down almost everything. It makes me want to vomit. I'm seriously sick just looking at my spreadsheet. Somehow it always works out... right? Hopefully?
I'm just so "over" this trip already. It's not normal for us to not be able to pick up things we want to buy, or to eat counter service--at all! We eat table service for every meal, and I just left breakfast and lunches wide open most days. He doesn't want to talk about it anymore and I know that he's unhappy about going on a shoestring. I continue to tell him to get on his mother about paying me back--but he doesn't, and probably won't. He'll have to kick something in, whether he has it or not. There's not a choice. I've done the best I can--which I think is pretty darn good--and I only have 1 big paycheck left, and 3 little ones. I hope he lightens up a bit, because my normal fix for Mr. Hyde is to feed him beer... and those $7 beers are going to be limited this time :sad2:
I'm oddly also getting annoyed by people who ask if I'm getting excited--every effing day. Every day. The same people. How many days? Are you excited? Oh, there's the soon to be Mrs! Last week at the conference, there was a girl who told EVERY single person we saw. Then I had to get the weird looks about a Disney wedding. I know I shouldn't be like that---but it's kind of the equivilent to a stranger rubbing a pregnant woman's stomach. If I wanted to tell them, I would.
I'm just in a funk from making all the cuts and I just can't get excited about going. I'm also trying to visualize the change between Dave and I when we become married. We've lived together for a long time and I just don't see what's going to change? He's still not going to do dishes, I'm still going to refuse to take out the trash in the dark because it's creepy, one of us is bound to end up on the couch by morning because we're rough sleepers, we still will only see each other 2 nights per week, I still will never get a say on what is on TV for those 2 nights :laughing:, and the bills will remain the same. For everyone asking what I'm excited about.... I'm excited about calling 85,325 places to change my last name. :yay:
This week I must get some cleaning done, and wash clothes that need packed. I must get motivated.
Good news... I'm getting pretty tan :woohoo:
Happy Monday Everyone!!
Ack! I missed some posts. Deena, your nightmares sound HORRENDOUS! :grouphug:I hope they don't continue!
The surprise shower from your work sounds awesome. I'm glad SOMEONE came through for you!
And I know your trip is budget for you, but it could be SO much worse! And eating quick service will actually work out well for you because you're going during Food and Wine--- so you'll get to graze.
I'm SURE your money will work out! It will be okay! Do you have anything you can... sell? :lmao: (Seriously, I've been looking at all of my belongings yesterday and seeing if I can sell anything. Unfortunately, nada!)
You'll be in Disney soon, regardless, and it will be magical. :D
