LuvLuvLuv's Memories TR Starts Pg 73 - Honeymoon Day 6.1

They look BEAUTIFUL together!!! I think they're a perfect match and you made a great purchase!!

Deena sweetie - I love your ring!!! It seems that in the US, rings with stones are popular as wedding bands. Here in the UK, the majority of people have plain bands (although I think this may be slowly changing).

It's gorgeous. I totally understand what you're saying about the band not fitting right up against it. Neither of mine do. It drives me nuts. But like my mother and Dave said, unless I sent in my engagement ring to a custom setting in which my ring SITS inside of it that would probably be the only way to get it to be flat. But now that I look at mine I kinda like the little gap??

I think it's absolutely stunning either way. Get some pics in the sun girl, I wanna see them suckers sparkle!! =]

It'll be fine. I promise. Me and you can freak out about our gaps together!<3

I think it's gorgeous! It looks like it matches your engagement ring so well. It's absolutely perfect :)

I, too, love your wedding band and think it looks beautiful with your engagement ring!!!!!

Thanks Everyone!! You have all seriously put my mind at ease about it!! You know I can freak out about the littlest things, and frankly, because I was so apprehensive, I was kind of looking for something to be wrong with it. I do love it--I just need to get used to the feeling of the diamonds going down the sides touching my other fingers, lol.

I guess the PA dinner is turning into linens, flowers, cakes, etc--not really what I had planned, but I'm not dropping a dime on it, so whatevs. I expressed that I would rather have a casual dinner and have that money spend on our wedding--but I was sharply told that she wasn't going to fund my Disney Vacation. I was rather hurt by that. I know the only reason it's turning into this is for a show for other people. I thought it was going to be about 15-20 family members and she said the guest list is up to 50. I haven't a clue who is on it, and doubt I've talked to any of them since I left town in 2002. Hopefully they bring a check--mean--but honest--50 people from up there is rediculous.

I advised I would not be wearing my dress. I'm not going to fuss with keeping it nice after the wedding, and with changing hotels, travel back, and traveling up there. No way Jose. I wanted casual--you'll be lucky if I show up in a dress instead of a hoodie--plus it'll be November in PA--coldness.

I was all excited because DF was going to talk to FMIL about the shower that I wanted to have like 3 weeks from now--but he hasn't, so I'm starting to give up on it.

A huge sale at Dillard's starts today--give me the strength to not blow too much money that I need for the wedding.

Traffic was a hot nasty mess this morning--I was 25 minutes late for work, and when I come in.... all my cleaning supplies and storage under my desk was thrown up on my desk, my sweater was slung over the edge and my trash hadn't been taken out. I'm like what in the world?? I was already flustered because of the traffic. Then I start looking around. My wooden desk is chipped and scraped all the way around, the lobby walls are all scraped with red marks and the doors wood is all chipped on the bottom. Apparently there were carpet cleaners in last night for the lobby and they destroyed the place. We have calls in--what a nightmare--we're so glad they only did the lobby and not the whole suite!!! Quite the morning. However I did get a 15 out of 15 on my Anti Money Laundering test!!

In interest of saving money--I figured thru many calculations that it'll be cheaper to do the dining plan for the Grand Floridian stay, and cheaper to do TIW for the YC stay. So that's what we'll do. This also allowed me to put in Shula's and move our Rose and Crown to lunch the next day. This knocks off Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast, but it's okay--we have CL breakfast. Rose and Crown has potato and leek soup, Sunday Roast and lemon pie that I MUST have, lol. It's a nice substantial meal before getting on a plane. Last time we went to CRT, we needed to stop at Casey's before we left for lunch.

I'm also considering taking Magical Express instead of the Town Car now that we're shipping the dress and suit to Carolyn Allen's. I may have to drop a service off of my Spa appointement too :( I guess I'm stupid for thinking that family would step up and help--especially since we're saving them so much money now that they don't have to travel. I'll get a decent chunk afterwards, but that's afterwards--not when I need it.

All this money stuff has me exhausted. I have to figure out what I'm doing for next November because I have a freaking contract with one of the DVC owners and already made a deposit to her. She wanted paid in full in the first week of December--so chances are my wedding money will cover our anniversary trip, lol. I think we'll go October 29-November 3, 2012. It's earlier than our anniversary, but we've gone for Christmas the past 3 years and are thinking that we really want to try Halloween. Plus our APs will be up on the 9th... so we need to be out by then.

Speaking of APs--I did some other math, lol. I'm looking at going to Disneyland from Feb 1-5 as a delayed honeymoon. It's not a whole bunch more to upgrade to the pass for both parks, airfare wasn't as bad as I thought, and with the AP you get discounts on food--which we would do counter in the day and sit down at night since there's so much there we've never seen. I've been looking into renting a dvc studio and I think the cost is do-able. So that's my current venture and interest. The holidays are such a mental drain in retail that I think it would be fabulous to get away early in the year!! I still want new kitchen stuff and furniture, but our trips will pretty much be paid for by the end of this year, so everything next year can go to the house--I think it's a good plan!

This has taken me over an hour to write, lol--things have been so busy here. 11 weeks from today I will be on a plane on my way to the Grand Floridian. I am so excited I could squeal. I still have a lot to do, but it's all coming together great. Can't wait to get my planning pack!!

Okay chick-a-dee's... and guys, lol--- I gots to get some stuff done here. Have a fantastic Wednesday!!

eep! Sounds like a crazy Wednesday. I really wish I could beat your FMIL. Rawr. And tell Dave to step up and start a-asking! Because we don't have tiiiime to mosey around here! Sheesh!

Just keep thinking about that plane flight girl! Keep focused! If you cut back on a few minor things it's no big deal, you save some cash and it'll still just be as magical. Just remember it's about you and Dave and your love, not about a show or anybody else! <3

I hope you didn't blow a ton of money at Dillard's! I -really- need to start staying away from the mall... I am SO bad!

And I'm sorry that the dinner your stepmom is throwing you is getting to be bigger than you anticipated, buttttt at least you just get to show up! And maybe you can buy something pretty for it anyway, even though that negates my previous comment. :lmao:

And I LOVE Rose and Crown! I love them. I went there for the first time last year, and we're going during Illuminations during our honeymoon. I drink out of my Rose and Crown cup all of the time!

:woohoo: for being 11 weeks out!! The rest of the time will fly right on by!

I hope you didn't spend a terrible amount of your wedding money at Dillard's. I try to stay out of places like that so I'm not tempted. I was about to go crazy at the mall last night while looking for a dress for my mom. It was "oh I love this", "oh I love this", "oh I really love this"!! It's terrible.

And sorry your families are being such PITA's.

Loving everything so far!! Your ring is GORGEOUS!!! :goodvibes

You are getting so close!!! Just keeping thinking about that plane ride to the Grand Floridian when times get tough!! :lmao:

I think Disneyland would be awesome! I've never been and want to go SO BAD someday. I def think that if you have the extra $$$ (like from the ridonkulous party FMIL is throwing) you should venture out there! :thumbsup2

Love the band - classic yet modern!
Tell me again where are you headed in PA? I live here, hope it close enough to hug you!

heya!

11 weeks will fly by, I started counting at 69 weeks and now I'm almost married. :goodvibes

your ring is beautiful, both rings look stunning together xx

Well he still hasn't asked her--and my target date was Sept 18. So we may as well throw this idea out the window. I'm too exhausted to fight anymore. Blah!! I'm really glad you were okay thru the storm this weekend--I was worried about you!!

I hope you didn't blow a ton of money at Dillard's! I -really- need to start staying away from the mall... I am SO bad!

I didn't do too bad. A new tankini top, my spanx-type (wacoal brand) deal for under my dress, and a crazy cheap tank top. I didn't do as well in Sephora and Ulta yesterday :rolleyes1

Yeah... well it's hard when you work there and everytime you have to run to the potty--you're like--Oh I Love That!! A trip to the b-room costs me $32, lol.

:lovestruc that is one gorgeous band!

Thanks :)

I'm so pumped about the GF!! I'm so excited to arrive there. It's even more real because that part of the trip is PAID OFF!! That means no more switching because it's done!! :woohoo: I always book it, then switch to somewhere else to save $$--this is for real this time!!

I think Disneyland would be awesome! I've never been and want to go SO BAD someday. I def think that if you have the extra $$$ (like from the ridonkulous party FMIL is throwing) you should venture out there! :thumbsup2

He started getting excited about it last night. I really hope it works out so we can go!!

Thanks!! I think the weeks are going to start going quicker--only because I have sooooooo much to do!!

I haven't posted in days. My Panera Pumpkin Muffie from yesterday clearly was cross contaminated with tree nuts because my throat is closed. Miserable, can't breathe, sore throat--mess. That's not what I'm here about. I'm here because my wedding trip got screwed up and all I've done is beat myself up, beat Disney Reservations up, and cried. Like I said last time, we wanted to drop the DxDDP on the YC part and do TIW. The guy on the phone said he needed to cancel and rebook because of the codes, but it would be there since it was immediate. Alrighty. Guess what? It wasn't there. No club level ANYWHERE was there. No Yacht Club was there AT ALL. Not a single room on the monorail. All there was in the resorts I was willing to stay at was a Lagoon View at the Beach Club. I had to take it, or we would be homeless. I feel like I never leave well enough alone and I really messed things up this time. All I tried to do was save us some money. He is so disappointed, but realizes it wasn't my fault. I've called twice per day every day and will continue to do so until something opens up. If you get a CM named Paxton on the phone at Disney Reservations--prepare for him to lie to you and mess up your wedding stay.

We got DFs shirt for his suit with a gift card from JCP--so it was free for us :) That was a win. His suit needs altered--and I think that's the last cost for him.

Yesterday I was wondering to myself.... where is my dress--why is it taking so long?? Ummm, you ordered it 2 weeks ago--patience is a virtue.

DF and I ventured out after Panera yesterday and he bought himself Epic Mickey for Wii, I got a few Bare Minerals items, a couple brushes, more lashes and a Too Faced gloss. I figured the Bare Minerals will travel better and be quicker in the mornings.

I got an email back from the GF cake lady. I'm convinced that she ruins lives everyday. When I email her, she emails me back everything that contradicts what I just told her I want. This has been going back and forth for 2 weeks and she just can't get it straight. I sent her that picture of what I wanted, and told her I wanted it EXACTLY like the picture. She responds:

---
Mrs. Testa (first mistake--I TOLD YOU THIS WAS FOR MY WEDDING)
I just wanted to reconfirm your cake order.

The stripes on the outside of the cake will be lime green and hotpink with some hidden Mickeys. Plus at the base of the cake, there will be aqua fondant balls. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I just want to make sure I have everything correct for you.
----

Please tell me where there is pink or hidden mickeys on that cake? There are 2 colors of balls on my drawing right?? Am I losing it?? This is the type of thing that makes me want to lose my mind. I couldn't even believe my eyes when I read it. She's off on Sunday and Mondays so I haven't responded yet--only because I'm dumb founded and don't know how to spell it out any better. When I sent her the picture--I put on the top: Please disreguard all of our previous plans, as this photo below is what we would like. I don't know how to better explain??

I had plans of doing Jason's planning pack and writing my ceremony this week--but I've decided to take this week off of wedding stuff. My brain is fried. There is no $$ out of this week's pay to do anything with, and I simply need a break. Unless DF randomly decides to actually ask his mom about a shower--there will probably be no wedding talks this week. I will, however, be calling reservations like a crazy person trying to get my reservation back.

Oh, and can I say that I'm super cranky that I ordered some stuff off Etsy on July 31st, and still haven't recieved it?? I put an inquiry in today. I don't wanna say who it was until I see what's wrong--don't want to give them a bad name if it was something uncontrollable.

I really don't feel good. If I had anymore time available, I would go home--but I don't. I have to try to be healthy for the rest of the year--but I really feel terrible. I want to call and yell at Panera, but they can't do anything. I normally don't get cross-contamination too bad, but this is awful--like someone had their hands in a bowl full of almonds, then touched my pastry. I will probably go home on my lunch and lay down for 10 minutes--I got terrible sleep last night because I couldn't breathe.

Today I'm going to try and get some work done, look into Disneyland a bit more and call reservations back about the freaking Yacht Club. They said to try and ask for a supervisor/manager--but because of Irene.... the wait time for them was over an hour. I appreciate that and completely understand. Once that has died down--I will be on the phone.

I think that's all I have for now. I'm wayyyyyyyyyyyyy behind on everyone elses PJs so I will try to read up today or tomorrow!! Happy Monday!

Yay for getting your reservation!! Also, would you consider moving your ressie to something at the Contemporary? Perhaps the Wave? I've only heard great things in the cake chatter thread about pastry Chef Brian. Then you could get monorail pictures too!
