Lulu,

I fell in love with Isadora Ann this past week. Luckily, a bridal shop near me has it, so I was able to see it within 24 hours. It is stunning! The web pics don't do her justice. I ordered her before I left the shop. :cloud9:

I am planning on going back to the shop in after my site visit (this coming weekend) with my real camera to take pics of her. I will share what I come home with.

Ohh fabulous choice! I saw on the Maggie website that there are two colours (white on white and one with pewter accents) which one did you go for? I'm looking forward to seeing your photos!

Scored a hot deal on BWV points for May 5-9

Hoping I'll have my planning session May 7 or 8!!

Since I'll be alone, I'll probably hang in the World Showcase so I can walk right in :goodvibes I'm pumped!!

Now I feel like I'm slacking! lol do you get them from this board or mouse owners? I gotta start looking.

I saw someone I've rented points from in the past listed their points here and on mouse owners... I know they have lots of BWV points and if I didn't strike now, I wouldn't get them. I got 4 nights, standard studio for $590!! Rack rate was $1800!!! I think it's a good location for being alone :) I like to wander, and walk, and shop... and the Mandara spa is right there :cutie:

I think their screen name is caren... something with numbers, lol. You should check! I checked our work event schedule for next year and it seemed like a good time to go... hopefully they'll be able to get me in!!

this isn't really wedding related, but i can't function until i get this out in writing. as mad as i get when people say, "i dunno what i'm doing next year--i might be dead" -- they're right. they may not die, but an unexpected tragedy may happen right before your eyes. what i witnessed today made me appreciate every living/healthy minute.

one of my favorite co-workers was bouncing around earlier just like normal, joking about employee appreciation week, drinking a pepsi. next time thru the lobby said he had a hell of a headache. next time through he said his chest felt tight and was thinking about calling his doctor because it was weird. he's 33, generally healthy, works out, good shape, etc. shortly after at noon, an ambulance was called because he turned pale, unresponsive, numb and sweating profusely. besides the obvious symptoms, his vitals were okay and the medics weren't going to take him to the hospital. we freaked out and made them because he was still wayyyyyy out of it, not even recognizing us. it was so scary :( his father called us about 45 minutes later saying he had a ruptured aortic aneurisym and would be in surgery for 5 1/2 hours. they weren't even going to take him, and he would have died within an hour! after doing some research... there's less than 35% chance of survival after the rupture and surgery. i don't like the odds, but we have to keep faith and pray he gets through it. we should know something by 7pm.

my work environment has been exhausting for the past 3 hours. we haven't eaten, everyone just cries, and because i'm the receptionist in the main lobby, everyone is coming to me for info and updates. everytime i have to talk about it i break down. at this point, no news is good news--the surgery should be done by 6:30, so if we heard something before then, it would most likely be bad. i feel like someone has just beat me with a baseball bat--everything hurts from crying. it's so quiet in here that it's scary, all you can hear is an occasional sniffle.

after all of this, i do kind of get that statement that i hate so much. you really don't know. it could happen to anyone at anytime. i choose not to live like that, and will continue to plan in advance... if i don't make it... oh well... if i do... then we'll have a great time. life is obviously too precious to take for granted. a couple people just left to take the family food--because i have to watch the operator line, i'm stuck here--i wish there was something more that i could do.

sorry to take up non-wedding space... but i consider it a lesson in life appreciation... something that we often forget to do.

My prayers and thoughts go out to your co-worker! I'm so sorry to hear about that. And hoping for the best!

<3 Much love your way girl!

Oh no! So sorry to hear this! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your co-workers.

I hope the surgery is a success and he makes a full recovery. How scary. So his aorta ruptured?! I didn't even realize that something like that could happen. If it makes you feel any better the heart doctors these days are absolutely amazing and they can do amazing things when it comes to rebuilding the heart. I know they can fix a broken aorta because we have a friend with a heart defect that impacts the aorta. My son had heart surgery as a baby too. Many hugs to your friend, I'm so happy they brought him in to the hospital.

oh man! thats so scary, i know what you mean about not really thinking about things, i do it all the time. ill be praying for your co worker, i hope he pulls through and I hope you get to feeling better through this rough time

I'm so sorry to hear that! Thoughts and prayers go out to you, your co-workers, and his family. Fingers crossed that everything works out and he makes it through. Good luck.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend....my thoughts and prayers are with him.:grouphug:

Well so far the prayers have been working. We all appreciate it very much. He was in surgery for 7 hours, then they went back in for 2 more hours to replace the aorta. The next 24-48 hours are crucial for him to make it, and he'll stay in ICU until then. The doctors considered it a miracle that he got to the hospital in time. During the updates, they kept reminding everyone what a risky surgery it is, but that he was so young and strong. We had a good old fashioned phone tree last night and everyone stayed updated. This morning the office is buzzing with updates. You can see the look on everyone's face... we're all tired from stressing. The last update was at 1:15am.

Again.. thank you for all your wishes, thoughts and prayers!! Just wanted to give a quick update!!

Big, big hugs to you! We went through something similar with DH's dad. He had the SAME thing happen, only he is extremely unhealthy, smokes, doesn't take care of himself, etc and he survived. So there is HOPE! The fact that he is young, healthy, exercises....all in his favor. And if he made it through the first 2 surgeries, that is a really REALLY good sign. That was the worst part to get through.

I'll be anxiously waiting for updates. I know how nerve wracking it is. Make sure to take care of yourself too - get enough sleep, eat well, etc. That's the best tribute to a situation like this, I think...taking care of ourselves.
Sending prayers your way! :lovestruc

Thanks to everyone again. He passed away at 10:20am. Our office is in shambles, but someone has to man the operator line, so I'm stuck in the lobby alone to grieve. We had a 2 minute company meeting, and everyone else is gathered in conference rooms while I'm out here. I just wanted to keep everyone updated. The rest of the week is going to be rough, and I'm not sure I'll be up to posting on here. It was his time, I guess, but in my opinion he was just far too young.
