LuvLuvLuv's Memories TR Starts Pg 73 - Honeymoon Day 6.1

So, so sorry to hear! But when things like this happen you have to think about how his quality of life might have been after the surgery?
My thoughts and prayers and love go out to you and your co-workers love. Take time off of DIS if you need.. it's a lot to deal with. <3

I am so so sorry to hear this, my heart goes out to you, your workmates, friends and family.
It's incredibly cruel of life to take someaway at a young age. Take as much time to grieve as you need, the DIS will still be here when you feel upto posting again.
Take care of yourself, xxx :grouphug:

I'm so sorry to hear this, I was really hoping he would pull through. So young! So tragic. My heart goes out to his family, and to you and your co-workers. I'm sure he will be missed greatly by all of you.

Does really put things in perspective though, you're right. We never know how long we have!

Take care of you,
Brooke

Aww D, Im so sorry. I will definitely be praying for his family, your office, and you as you try to cope. This is such a fast and hard lesson, I am seriously rocked by it...I guess as much of a control freak I am, it shows you who's really in charge. The man upstairs must have needed him for something very important to take him so young. Like I said, Im here for you girl. Let me know if theres anything you need or I can help you with.:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

I just caught up on everything. I'm so sorry for your loss, Deena. 33 is just way too young for anyone to go. I just lost a friend from high school at 31. He slipped while at work and hit his head and slipped into a coma. It's a tough loss to wrap your head around. Sending warm thoughts to you, your co-workers, and your friend's family.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers. I've been popping on and off the boards thinking they'll get my mind off this, but then I realize, I can't focus long enough to read a complete sentence. I'm so thankful that I have you all as a support system!

We're all still in shock. Everyone's face is red, puffy and the sadness in everyone's eyes is enough to make you breakdown. I'm the un-lucky one on the operator line that gets to break the news to the people calling in for his conference calls. Very very sad. Today his dad called me in the morning and I lost it, he was on his way in to meet with HR/Benefits and wanted to let us know. Seeing the family was very hard, and seeing everyone else interact with his family was equally challenging. Arrangements haven't been made yet, but they are keeping us posted.

As far as my wedding goes...... the only thing I can focus on is getting a dress. I can't focus on anything else, but a dress. I dunno why. I should be focused on the fact that I emailed DFTW 17 days ago and haven't received a response, or the fact that I book in less than 3 weeks and there's no communication. I've been considering skipping Kings Island on Saturday and going hardcore dress shopping. The kind where you go to every place in an hour radius and don't quit until you decide. Maybe its my focus right now to try to alliviate the sadness, but whatever--I want a dress.

Well that's all I can say for now. On a side note... Dave still wants to get married outside. :sad2:

I am so sorry for your loss and also for everything that you must be going through right now.

Dang it Dave! Doesn't he understand it's what the bride wants that counts?! lol. He also said he wanted you to wear a black wedding dress! What does he know? =] haha. Besides outside means you have to worry about weather.. no bueno.

Do what you have to to get your mind off things. If you want a dress.. go for it! I say do it now while you have the determination!

I'm so sorry! :sad1: That's such a hard thing to go through. And if all you can focus on is your dress, then I say go for it! Even if you don't find what you're looking for, it still might be the thing you need to do for now.

Girl, you just go do whatever you need to to get your mind off of everything. Take a mental break and go play Princess Dress Up! That should definitely help!! As for Dave wanting outside, I agree with Jennifer, what the heck does he know??!!?! Stand your ground, you've come this far and made so much progress....if you would have let it go, you could have been married in the courthouse 2 months ago (not that theres anything wrong with it, besides the fact that its not what YOU want!) Stay strong, and everything will work out. I hope things get better with time, I cant imagine being in your shoes. Ill be thinking of you.

PS. I hope your shopping today! ;)
