Hey everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster here. I have been hanging around these boards for about three months or so and decided to finally join!

The main reason for joining is because in less than 9 months, I will be spending my honeymoon at the lovely Walt Disney World! It will be my first trip there, as well as my fiancee's (he briefly went to Disneyland as a child). We wanted to have a fun vacation for our honeymoon and we thought Disney was the perfect spot! As of right now, we are planning on staying on Pop Century, maybe POFQ!

I can't wait to start posting here and become a part of this wonderful community!

Welcome and congrats !!!! POP is our favorite hotel but next trip that its just wife and I POFQ is our pick. We walked through it this past February and it was AWSOME ! We also honeymooned in WDW, but we had been married about a year and a half before we did!! Too busy for one when we got married( new house, married and new baby all in the same year!) can't think of a better place to go! Just relax and enjoy your trip. Don't over plan and just kinda go with the flow. We only plan out the basics, where to stay and what park for the day, then park hop and enjoy. Hope you have fun and relax and enjoy the wedding and the trip!

The more I look at POFQ, the more I fall in love with it, so that is where we probably will end up staying! And plus I hear it's close to Epcot, and with both my fiancee and I being nerdy, we think we will enjoy it a lot! Our plan is to basically just hop on the first bus that arrives at the resort that day and go to whichever park.

Welcome! I was also a long time lurker before I joined a few months ago. We stayed at Pop in Feb and really loved it. there is a really good thread with everything you want to know about Pop on the boards that you might want to check out. A honeymoon in Disney World, how amazing! Congratulations on your engagement.
I would pick Port Orleans french Quarter over POP. POP is good but I've heard wonderful things about POFQ.

Another one for POFQ. We had our honeymoon at Dixie Landings, which is now POR (Port Orleans Riverside). Loved it.

I would stay at POR, not POP. My husband and I stayed at por years ago and loved it. We are going back next year with our kids after staying deluxe and offsite for many years. The resort is spread out and the gardens are beautiful. I know that some people are turned off by this, however I find it very relaxing and a nice place to recharge. Mind you, we are in the minority in that we never do the parks rope drop to, close. We spend half day parks and go back to the the resort before going out for the evening. If you want to relax POR is the way to go. Best for the money. Never been to POP, so I cant comment on it.

My favorite part of the site is the complete and current menus WITH PRICES for EVERY restaurant on Disney property. This is the best way to figure out what your food budget should be, and if the Dining Plan might be best for you. Look at the menus, think about what your family will eat and add up the costs.
