I'm pretty quiet too, but I like the fact that I can pop in every so often -- this is a friendly group.

I have no advice on Kindles, but hello from Brooklyn Heights! I always like to see another New Yorker on the boards

Here's 2 cover manufacturers I've used that make really great ebook covers.

The first one is Oberon designs, which Kevin has also recommended:

They are *wonderful* tooled leather, and feel very book-like. They are even more gorgeous in person then they are on the website!

They are, however, rather pricey. I've also used the leather covers from M-edge. They are also a nice grade leather, very good construction, very comfortable to use. They have a really nice selection of covers:
