We are trying to decide between a backstage tour (EPCOT - Undiscovered Future World or AK - Backstage Safari) or lunch with an imagineer. We're going in early September (after Labor Day) and it's just DH and myself. Any thoughts or opinions?

I just gave my parents the lunch with an imagineer as a present for their anniversary trip. They both seemed to really enjoy it and found the imagineer very pleasant and informative. They said that the food was wonderful and that they would definitely do it again.

but lunch with an Imagineers would be my first choice. I understand it's a tough ADR to get though.

Oh well, in a few years my son will be old enough to go and that will give me an excuse.

We haven't done the tour, but we (myself, DW, DD 10, and DS 16) did the Imagineer lunch in Aug., and we had a great time ! We met with Kevin James, a senior graphic designer. There were 4 other people besides us at the lunch. It was very informal and informative, and the food was great, too. We did it because our DS is obsessed with becoming an Imagineer, but we all had a great time. Even our 10 yo said it was one of the best parts of our trip. We plan on doing this every trip from now on. Have fun !! :thumbsup2

Just booked it for my graphic design student daughter! Could only book 60 days in advance and they only take 8. Also, it is not offered every single day! I called on first day about 2 hrs after dining line opened and I got the last spot! Since I wanted a single resie I guess I lucked out!
