As a DVC Member, I'd like to use a "perk" and save some $. So, my question is -- I want to save 10% off of lunch at Whispering Canyon at WL. What then is the latest I can make a reservation and still get this discount?

I'm not on the reservations page so I can't tell you the exact times you're looking for, but when you pull up the available times, if you hover over the name of the restaurant you'll see a popup that tells you all the info you need and more.

It does. However a little difficult to understand. Lunch says until 2:30 and Dinner begins @5:00. Another says Lunch until 3:10 and Dinner begins @4. Does this mean as long as your reservation is before 4:30 it is considered Lunch or if you pay your bill before 5??? Ahhhhhh!:confused3

We do this same type of deal at Sci-Fi. We love to go for a late lunch since they don't have burgers on their dinner menu. I believe Dinner starts at 5 so we have made reservations as late as 4:30 and still ordered from the lunch menu. I would say give yourselves 30 min prior to dinner starting just to make sure. You can also call and double check.

Thanks, good info.

This is a little off of OPs topic but most restaurants--including SciFi--no longer have separate lunch and dinner menus. Changed 3-4 months ago. I know for a fact that Sci Fi has the same items--and same prices--at both meals now. Same is true for Brown Derby, Mama Melrose and 50s Prime Time.

If you look closely at the page for WCC, you will see that they close at 2:30 PM and re-open at 5:00 for dinner.

We like to do this on MNSSHP days. Substantial late lunch at The Wave or Kona (2:45), then arrive at MK to hit rides from 4:00 until the party starts. With a MNSSHP ticket you can get into the park at 4PM. The hours between 4 and 7 are relatively slow, as non-Partygoers either stay away from MK or arrive early and leave after the 3:00 parade. If we want a light dinner, we'll do something quick around 8:00, when things area at their busiest.
