just came back.. the wait was over 1 hour line was very long, they were passing out menus at the end of the line.also there is no cover just good old sun

True, you can only make BOG reservations for dinner, not lunch.
However, some people have been able to do BOG lunch FastPass+ about 30 days before their trip. That would certainly cut down any wait time.

If your dessert party is at 8, I think a 6p dinner at BOG is cutting it close. If dessert party is at 9, then you should have time but might be too full.

If you can get a dinner reservation, why not? And then if you can get a lunch FastPass+, you can always cancel the dinner.

Is it not possible to make a reservation for Be Our Guest for lunch? I've just tried and the only reservations I can make online are for dinner.

If you can't book, is it just a case of turn up and wait? The waiting times I've seen there on recent trips just don't make sense to me. I don't spend enough time in the parks to wait for an hour for a table for lunch.

As I've already made a reservation for the Wishes Dessert Party, would it be crazy to make a 6pm dinner reservation for Be Our Guest IF lunch booking isn't possible?

BOG is CS for lunch, TS for dinner. Reservations are only taken for dinner.

Some people have been invited to test a FastPass+ at BOG lunch, that is probably what you are referring to.

As for the wait, I would recommend going at the very beginning or very end of service.
