I have never been, wanted to try something new.

Also, has anyone eaten recently at the Kona Sushi bar? There aren't many reviews at all.

You can get the sushi menu in the restaurant itself, so you don't have to sit at the sushi bar to enjoy the sushi. The sushi is VERY good, very fresh and also a little different with the combinations (e.g., california roll made with mango.) Definitely recommend. Their tuna oscar main course is also really good made rare. Not sushi, but close to it.

Love Kona! Only been there for lunch, but the food was delicious. They have lunch platters with a meat (chicken or steak), sticky rice, and a spicy pasta salad. We really enjoyed that as well as the sticky wings. I don't think you can go wrong with dinner there either, though. Enjoy!

Dinner has two things going for it that lunch doesn't have: sushi from the adjacent Kona Island Sushi Bar and that delicious pineapple sweet bread. I could make a meal of those things alone, so to say they tip the scales for me is an understatement.

I was tossing up between dinner and lunch...but I really wanted the Tuna Oscar (and I think that is only served at dinner????)......there are a few items on the dinner menu that is not on the lunch menu..

We eat dinner here every trip. I usually have the almond crusted chicken and DH has had a few of the menus items. We have never been disappointed with our meals. And I also agree that the bread and macedamia nut butter is to die for.

Never tried dinner at Kona, I really liked Kona at lunch though. I would guess they have the same type of food. Never tried the sushi bar.
