I need to have lunch somewhere on the monorail. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best place? I love most of the dinner menus, but the lunch menus seem to be missing something. We're going to go to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot on this day and I thought if we ate on the monorail, we could eat on the way.

I really love the Grand Sandwich at the Grand Floridian Cafe. And the Wave at the Contemporary - it's usually a nice, quiet spot to grab a quick lunch.

Do you mean to literally eat on the monorail or to stop at one of the resorts which can be reached via monorail? If the latter, you're really not saving any time since a different monorail line goes between the MK and Epcot:confused3

It'd be just as easy to grab CS in one of the parks.

If you are wanting to stop at one of the resort restaurants, I would recommend Captain Jacks at the Polynesian Resort. They have a great BBQ sandwich that me and the DW love to have every trip. It is the first stop after you switch Monorails at the TTC, or you can walk to it from the TTC.

I really like the Wave. We have enjoyed Kona Cafe too. Have not eaten at the Grand Floridian Cafe but it gets some good reviews. I prefer going to these than eating in the park.

Another vote for the GF Cafe. I had lunch there with my dad in May and i thought it was great

this plan won't work if you're going during March 2012...monorail is down every day from 11:30-6:00 PM (construction at GF and maintenance on the monorail)

They are running extra boats, but you'll wait in line, even mid-day. The resort boats don't hold all that many people (and they only allow exact numbers on...everyone must be seated, no standing allowed) We had to wait for a 2nd boat to GF/Poly on Monday Mar 5 at 1:00 PM...and by the time we loaded, there was probably enough people for 2 more boats waiting in line behind us.
