Lunch Menu at Dinner?

I'm trying to make my ADR's and the kids really want to go to Sci Fi in HS. The day we want to go, it may be tough for us to make lunch reservations, but the dinner menu is not as friendly to my picky 16 year old. Does anyone know if you can order off the lunch menu even if it is a dinner reservation?

Most likely not. Or if they do, they will most likely charge you a dinner price vs a lunch price.

Dinner menus, as a rule, are more expensive. If they let people order off the lunch menu at dinner time, they'd never have a dinner menu because people would be trying to eat on the cheap.

I know that's not your reason, but that's probably why if they won't let you order off the lunch menu.

Also, I think "lunch" can technically be ordered until 3pm or thereabouts. Keep that in mind when making ADRs.

I do understand that logic, but you can get both the BBQ chicken sandwich and Reuben for both lunch and dinner at the same price but not the burger (which of course is what the 16 yr old wants). I told him he should try to expand his horizons, which was met with the famous eye-roll. They're so cute at this age!

When we ate there last May, we asked if we could use the lunch menu and they said no. I think it's kind of a dumb rule, because the dinner menu isn't that great.

I've been able to order Burgers and Fries at any time of the day at Sci Fi. The first time we went I looked at the dinner menu really confused and the waiter asked what was wrong. I told him I'd heard that they had great Burgers and Fries but there weren't any on the menu. He said you could get Burgers and Fries anytime and thats what we ordered. We've done so ever since. I will be sad if they've changed this
