We will be "sampling" Universal later this week. We have a short five year old and a three year old so will be spending most of our time in Seuss Landing and Woody Woodpecker area (with a side trip to Shrek). We need to do lunch. Any suggestions for where to eat? I think we'd probably eat in the area between the two parks but am open to ideas.

TIA

If you're actually talking about eating between the two parks, there are plenty of restuarants at CityWalk but I doubt your kids would enjoy themselves. I would suggest Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous since it's right there at Seuss Landing. The food is decent and I think your kids would like the themeing of the place. If you want to wait and eat at the Studios, I would say Louie's...they have great pizza and the prices are very reasonable. Here are the two restuarants:

Margaritaville & Bubba Gump's are good places for lunch. There's usually a few people in Margaritaville walking around on stilts, making hats, swords, etc. out of balloons. Here's links to the kids menus:

As Metro posted, Louie's in Universal has pretty good pizza and is very reasonably priced. I did not care for Circus McGurkus, although the atmosphere is pretty cute (if you look past the cafeteria part). I personally do not like having a meal at a theme park. I like to do snacks at the parks and then save the "real meals" for restaurants. :)

Thank you for the suggestions! I will look that over. Is there a Nascar themed restaurant or a Harry Potter themed restaurant (ok, I know I'm pushing it but we can't wait until 2010!)? Ds is really into racecars but I wouldn't want to go if the food/atmosphere wouldn't work for them. I do want to enjoy the meal for a minute or two. LOL

Yes....there is a NASCAR Cafe there and it was just remodeled not too long ago. I haven't eaten there so I can't tell you about the food. No HP themed restaurant...yet. ;)

Nascar used to be pretty good - we haven't try it since the remodel either. Margaritaville is great! The music is pleasant and if you don't have a problem with the substance, the regular going off of the Margarita machine is fun.

Margaritaville and NBA city would be my 2 choices for city walk restaurants.
However I would really suggest Mythos in IOA. The atsmophere is really cool and the food is constantly rated as some of the best in Orlando.
