I will be visiting the Disneyland Resort for a week at the end of January, and I am looking for feedback regarding the Wine Country Trattoria lunch option dining package. Has anyone done this, and was it worth it?

I have been reading about World of Color, and I really do want to see it.

The picnic meals really do not appeal to me. I wouldn't mind doing a late lunch at the Wine Country restaurant though, in order to be guaranteed a spot for World of Color. I have never had a meal there.

I am looking for feedback from anyone who has done the lunch. I say lunch, because it is more within my budget.

Also the night that I want to do it is a Thursday, and WOC is being shown earlier.

Thanks in advance.

Unless something has changed since we went, I don't think they do a WOC lunch. It was a dinner package at AG or WCT. At least there was only one price. Not a cheaper lunch price. AG was a tad bit cheaper and that was where we went.

Wine Country Trattoria dinner package was not really worth it food wise as far as woc tickets enjoyed the seating very much.

Now that said if we do it again im going to go with the picnic option to see the show.

I think the OP is referring to this:

My freind and I ate at WCT beofre WOC and really enjoyed it! I thought it was great food and we had spectacular (almost over hovering) service.

Hmm, I didn't realize they had a lunch price there. I don't think we had that option when we went to see WOC last summer when it first opened. Either that, or I really wanted to eat at Ariel's and so I didn't pay attention to WCT. Is this new?

Anyway, we thought a WOC package was worth it to see the show for the first time and get a good spot. Next time we would probably try the picnics. I do know I'm not standing in line all morning to get WOC tickets.

I think they started doing lunch at WCT right after we went to WOC for my birthday. I remember hearing about it a week or two later and wishing we could have done that option.

I don't know about the WOC lunch but I've had several great dinners at WCT, including the WOC dinner.

I'd call first... I tried to book one of the lunches for my trip in a couple weeks and was told that it wasn't offered any of the 5 days I'll be there.

Perhaps the date that I want won't be available either, since I am coming to California at the end of January. Mostly, I wanted a review of the food, and an opinion about the viewing area. I believe the area might be the same as the picnic one. I am not interested in the picnic food. I prefer lunch, of course, because of the cheaper price. On vacation, I like eating my main meal in the middle of the day, rather than at a normal dinner time.

The viewing area is the same for all the preferred dining options (Ariels and WCT lunch or dinner). We've watched WOC twice from that area and enjoyed it both times. As with all the WOC viewing areas, you do have to start lining up long before the ticket tells you to. The picnics aren't in the preferred dining viewing area. I believe you get yellow or blue tickets with the picnics.

Here's my two cents.:chat:I have seen WOC twice. The first time was with a picnic package. We enjoyed the lunch very much. We arrived to the area early to find a huge line. We were in the row behind the rail, (I believe two rows up, out of the soak zone) seemed like it was going to be a good spot.. I am 5' 1.5" tall. Then when everyone stood up I really could not see well.
The second time we did the dinner at the WCT. Excellent meal and service. When we arrived early for the show, there were so many people a head of us that I was worried. We were pretty much to the back. The viewing was awesome. I saw all of the show. And being positioned dead center added to the entire performance. :tink:

i would not do WOC with out a meal package or the picnic again--i did it twice by just getting the FP ticket--no bueno on that.. i got red zone and i hated it...

picnic meals are cheaper then the pre-fix meals.. .and it can be a lunch, you can take it anywhere in the park and eat it, you dont have to eat it at the terrace that they sell it at--plus i had the meditranian vegetarion and my bf had the antipasto--we both agreed for the price the food was great and it was enough for the both of us! :tinker: so like everyone has stated that the picnic meals are a good buy--again i would not cut those out of your plan to view woc...

I have decided to call and book this for the Monday of my trip. If lunch is not available, I just might decide to treat myself to an earlier dinner time if I can get it. Most important thing is I need to make the phone call.

The website states that the lunch viewing area for Wine Country Tratorria WOC packages is the same as the picnic meals.
