Lunch at the Castle anyone??

I just saw a post asking how dinner is at the castle. Now I'm asking about lunch. I have an ADR there for lunch in a few weeks, and the menu is a bit different from dinner. Here it is:

Entrees Royale:
(Choice of One)

Pasta al Pomodoro - Pasta tossed in fresh tomato sauce with garden vegetables

Pan-Seared Salmon - Saffron crab risotto, grilled asparagus and lemon beurre blanc

Herb-Crusted Pork Tenderloin - mustard cheese grits, cabernet sauce and crispy onions

Focaccia Sandwich - ham, turkey, and muenster cheese piled high on focaccia bread, with dijonaise complimented with house-made sweet potato chips

Major Domo's Favorite Pie - shredded beef simmered in rich cabernet sauce, served with mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables, crowning a light pastry


Dessert:

Blueberry Buckle with lemon ice cream and finished with creme fraiche



I remember reading a poitive post about Major Domo's Pie. I was also thinking about getting the saffron crab risotto and grilled asparagus, but I heard the Salmon is extremely dry. Lastly, the Blueberry Buckle sounds delicious, but then again this whole menu sounds delicious, but from what I've been reading, a lot of the items don't taste delicious! So if anyone can shead some light on the menu items that I've mentioned, I would really appreciate it!

BTW, whether the food is good or not, we will be eating there. My kids can't wait to eat inside the Cindy's house!

Oh, and one last thing... Will Cindy and any characters come around during lunch? I've gotten different answers from different CMs. So now I'm . I know my fellow Diseres know the answer to this one!

I have had this...it is very very very good!!!

We LOVED lunch in the castle. It was perfect timing at 11:20. We were there on an am EMH day, and by the time lunch time rolled around we were READY for the break.

The characters are definitely out at lunch. We took then DS6 and he had a BLAST. The highlights were his sword fight with Belle and getting not one, but two kisses on the cheeks from Snow White. For the rest of the day, every CM asked with princess kissed him, he would turn them very proudly and say Snow White, not once but twice! He didn't want to wash his face that night!

The food was very good. I remember liking the appetiser and wishing I had more since it was a shared thing. DH and I both had the salmon which was excellent. Not dry at all. The risotto was taaaaasty. The asparagus not overcooked. We did the blueberry dessert which was also excellent. DS had a great meal as well, grilled chicken with a pasta with red sauce side and veggies that he didn't eat. A sundae for dessert. He was a happy camper.

I highly recommend the castle for lunch. Keep you lunch ressie and enjoy!

I'm so glad to hear such excellent reports! I know my kids are going to absolutely love eating here, no matter what the food tastes like, but I would like to enjoy the experience as well! I'd like to hear from others too about their lunch expereince. Good or bad!

We enjoyed our lunch there. Major Dumo's Pie is my favorite and actually crave that stuff! The blueberry buckle dessert was delicious and I don't even like blueberries.

I had the salmon, which was nice, but I craved my DH's Major Domo. I really thought it sounded kind of heavy, but it wasn't. I was impressed and plan to order that when we go back in January.
