Miracle of miracles! I just booked a reservation for lunch at Le Cellier for next week. Has anyone order the Chefs Favorites 3 course lunch there? If so, what did you have and how was it? We usually go for steak at dinnertime, but the lunch specials are all sandwiches. Thanks

When next week? We're having lunch on Friday next week (Christmas Eve). You are very lucky to get a ressie so close to the date!

I've seen pics and reviews of these sandwiches and apparently they are very good. However, I think I might just go with the steak and dessert (we are on the DDP)

I did this last time we were there for lunch. Love that soup! I got the soup, prime rib sandwich and the maple creme brulee. Loved the soup. THe sandwich was pretty good. I felt that it was a bit bland so I'm going to give something else a go next time. I really didn't care for the creme brulee, but I think that was just me. Everyone else at my table loved it. My mom got the sorbet and thought it was divine.

I've only ever had the mushroom fillet and I loved it. If you are on the DP and sandwich choices don't appeal I would just order what you want. You could always pay OOP for soup if that's what you are after ;)

The soup is awesome, salty but awesome. I have had the burger twice and I think it is probably the best hamburger I've ever had (and I've had a LOT of them!) My wife had the prime rib sandwich and it was ok but she raved about the burger when she had it last time. We've always been too full to get desert so I can't help much there!

The soup is great. I also love the sausage but the spicy part of the name is accurate so it may not be for everyone. I agree with a PP that the maple creme brûlée wasn't for me, and I usually love creme brûlée. I liked the one in France much more. We thought the chocolate moose was both cute and tasty!

We are there next Thursday at 11:30. I'm just not sure I'll be up for a steak at 11:30 a.m. but the burger does sound pretty good. I don't know; maybe we'll end up cancelling. I told my husband I got this today and he also would rather have a steak for dinner. We'll see...

My mouth is watering right now!!! We have ressies in February for lunch, and I cannot WAIT to sink my teeth in!

Like you I SCORED a dinner reservation for next week! I couldn't believe it. I kept looking at the confirmed reservation to make sure it was for 2010, then for 4 people and then for the right place because I was FLOORED!

Enjoy your meal. And have a magical time!

We LOVE the cheese soup there ( I've almost gotten it mastered at home though!!!)...we've had it there twice. I definately want to go for the higher priced items (like the steaks..DROOOOOOLLLL!) even if they don't come with the apps. Our trick is this...

DH and I get the steaks and desserts, we have two girls and they both order the soup for their app. Then, we all share soup because we like to share things so everyone gets a taste.

The girls can't finish all of their meal there anyways, and unlike counter service, we get them each a meal at a table service meal, because we aren't going to just make ressies for them to eat another meal or two! Counter service they usually can split a meal, then we use the other counter service at a different time of the day just for them! Or we use it for them for Breakfast.

have ressie there for candelight proc package at 2:20 on xmas eve..cant wait..is this lunch?...also i have 2 picky kid eaters..any suggestions?
