We didn't book any breakfast ADRs for our next trip. Noone's really that into breakfast, & we don't eat enough to make them worthwhile. We decided to go with early lunch ADRs instead. Do you think eating at 11:00 is too early? We're not commando style tourists, but I don't want to get there & realize I chose the wrong times. Our lunch ADRs are either at 11:00 or 11:30. Are these times good, or should I try to move them back a little, esp. the 11:00 ADR? TIA for the help. :)

Really by the time you check in, get seated, order and your food arrives, it will be later. Just plan on small, if any, breakfast and those times will be just fine!

If we have to eat earlier than usual, we bring along a snack for mid-afternoon. Otherwise our kids will be convinced that they are going to starve to death right in the middle of thousands of people! Popcorn, peanut butter crackers, a bag of pretzels -- anything simple like that buys an afternoon of peace.

Hi

If I'm on a solo trip, I always get an 11.00 or 11.30 lunch - I'm just not a breakfast person.

Rich

We always eat breakfast in our room (usually by7 am) so lunch at 11:00(ish) works for us and you can usually beat the crowds. We will be at WDW for 13 nights and I plan on 3 ADRs for the whole trip.

Between 11 and 11:30 are great times...you beat the big rush of people that flock in around 12. You also get FRESH lunch food and don't wait in LONG buffet lines.

I think it also depends on what time you schedule dinner. On days I plan 11am lunches, I also plan 4pm or 4:30pm dinners.

Just a thought...

Thanks for all the feedback. Hopefully, it will work out fine. :goodvibes I just don't want lunch to cut into our touring to the extent that we have a hard time making it to the restaurant on time. We don't have any buffets booked. They're all regular TS restaurants. Our dinner times are all different. We have a 9:10 pm on arrival night, but lunch won't be a factor with that one. The others are between 6:00 & 7:30. 6:00 is normally early for us, but we leave that day. We didn't want to get a later start home. I just checked our schedule & I've got the earliest lunch on the same day as the latest (except CG @ 9:10) dinner. The ADRs are for 11:00 am & 7:30 pm. Thank for mentioning dinner times. I may have to rethink that one. Thanks again for the help & suggestions.

You will actually be better off in your touring. Since we live in the Atlantic time zone (1 hour ahead of Florida) we always eat around 11 am (feels like noon to us)

By the time you're done, everybody else will be eating. This works better at dinner time, though (we eat at 4 pm)

Good to know! :thumbsup2 We always eat 2 TS meals a day, & never have room for a snack. Maybe, we'll get a chance try some this trip.

Our group never seems to like breakfast either. We have orange juice and fresh fruit in the room to get something in the tummy before heading out for park opening. We seem to always be looking to eat lunch around 11-11:30 so I think you should be fine. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks, I'm sure we will! :cool1:

You guys are making me feel much better about booking early lunches. I'm sure we'll be hungry at that time too, esp. our DS. He's 17 & always hungry.

When the kids were little that's how we did it. Mostly had quick breakfast in the room with a nice lunch at the earliest time available. Worked out great.
Besides, I like eating in a restaurant before it gets to full.

Here Here!! That is exactly the way we "roll" as well haha, and it worked GREAT!

We travel with two 17 yr. olds. Our last trip we had a few 8:05 breakfast ADRs. Getting them up & out was no easy task. :sad2: I think the early lunches will work better for us too. I was concerned that they may be too early. Thanks to you guys I'm feeling much better about that now. :goodvibes

Last May I used the DxDDP. I'm not much of a breakfast eater, but wanted to try all the 2 credit Signature restaurants. What I did, was grab a mug of hot chocolate on the way out of the resort in the morning to get something in my stomach, then I made all TS ADRs for lunch, asking for the first available time (so usually around 11:00am or 11:30am). I then did a 2 credit Signature meal every night around 7:30pm. It worked great for me. I didn't eat a CS meal all week, but even on the DxDDP, didn't ever feel too full and still managed to use all my credits.
