Lunar New Year 2019?

Lunar New Year is on February 5, 2019.

Any guesses as to when Disneyland will hold their Lunar New Year celebrations?

It seems like they usually do it for 3-4 weeks. Maybe 1-2 weeks before and after? I'm trying to remember, and just can't really place it. I know this year I went to the parks at the end of Jan, and just missed it's starting.

Hopped on Google to refresh my memory Looks like Lunar New Year was 2/16/18 this year, and the dates I'm seeing online that the parks celebrated it was 1/26/18 to 2/18/18.

On the Disney Career page, it lists the event as running 1/25/19-2/17/2019.

They made it a lot longer last year.

You can meet Mushu every day, but you have to be willing to stalk the line and potentially wait quite awhile. I usually get there when the character spot opens and ask what time he’ll be out (they don’t always know, but usually do).

In the Gazebo back by the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta place - last year they rotated between Mickey and Minnie in their Lunar New Year outfits, Goofy in his special outfit (although I think it was year of the dog, so that’s why it was him), and then Mulan/Mushu. Sometimes it’s only Mulan or only Mushu, though.

You can also see them both in the little show/presentation thing that they do back there several times a day.

I found this at the DL site a couple of months ago. Since we are going to be there the first week of February, we are glad to se that this is something we can take advantage of.
