:cool1: :cool1: Erin & Doe are STILL walking the healthy walk together!

I hope the rest of your day went well yesterday. Did you earn all your smilies???

Today we've got another busy day ahead of us. However, to have the most energy to help others, we've got to put our healthy living habits at the top of our list. We can do it!

:cheer2: :cheer2: WISH SISTERS RULE!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

:cheer2: WISH-SISTERS DO RULE! :cheer2: We're doing it, uh-huh!

Yesterday was a :) :) :) :) :) :) ! I almost caved when I came home from work at 9:05 :sad2: , but I didn't! I had my plan and I stuck to it! As you'll read below, the scale rewarded me generously!

Today's plan:

1. Devotions: God is there to help us all. :)
2. Vitamins: :)
3. Water: working on 24 oz. so far today
4. Exercise: took Mickey for his .5 mile; will ride my bike for 30 minutes.
5. Food: Why is this the hard one???? Breakfast: yogurt and 2 Tbsp. of grape nuts, coffee=4. 10 a.m. snack will be an apple (2). Lunch will be chicken salad (4) and a few crackers (2). Afternoon snack will be another yogurt (2). Dinner will be chicken mandarin salad and whole wheat roll w/butter at saladworks (?). Dessert will be a s.f. orange cake and a small glass of milk (4). Total for day: I'm not sure the exact number of points, but that's OK. This is the plan and I'm sticking to it! No binge eating (or pretzels :p ) allowed.
6. Scale: I WHOOSHED 5 POUNDS AWAY! :teeth: I'm happier this morning at 177. :)

Jam packed day today, but I'm taking a cue from Doreen and putting my self-care up #1 on the list. I could be straightening and cleaning this a.m. instead of going out on my bike in the :sunny: , but I know that I need to do the exercise for my health. I have to take care of me.

Thanks for stopping by friends; I won't be around at journals today. . .too much to do.

Upward, onward, downward--
Erin

Edit: Got the bike ride in--it was great! :) :sunny: Lunch and snacks have been going as planned, but might not be able to get to Saladworks tonight. Hmmm, what will be a healthy substitute? Need to drink more water. Better get on that. . .

Good Morning Erin! Way to go on all the :) and the 5lb Whoosh! I love a good Whoosh!

Your menu looks awesome today and is making me HUNGRY! Enjoy your bike ride!

~Amanda

Hi, Erin! I'm Diane. :sunny: I just wanted to let you know that I love your attitude! Seeing who takes the #1 position in your plan says it all. :goodvibes

You inspired me to get out and walk early today! The housework will still be here when I return. (Dang it! LOL)

Have a GREAT day! :flower:

Hi Erin!

Congratulations on your 6 :) day!!! You and Doreen are doing an awesome job!!!! :Pinkbounc Keep up the good work and congrats on the 5 pound loss too! :teeth:

Have a blessed day, Erin! :flower:

Hey, friends! Thanks for stopping by Doreen, Amanda, Tracy, and new WISH friend Diane--I appreciate your visits!

Yesterday was a :) :) :) :) :) :) . The hardest claimed victory was, of course, the food. I heard the call of the hard pretzels at home, but DH talked me out of it. Thanks, Mike!

Let's see, today's plan:

1. Devotions-- :) "For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life."
2. Vitamins :)
3. Water--12 oz. so far
4. Exercise--walked the dog for 1.25, but I'm not counting that as anything more than a leisurely stroll. Today's officially my rest day. :)
5. Food--english muffin w/pb for breakfast and coffee=7. a.m. snack will be yogurt (2). lunch will be crackers and chicken salad (6). p.m. snack will be yogurt and an apple (4). extra snack will be fresh veggies (0). Dinner will be ?, dessert will be milk and orange s.f. cake (4). I don't have many points for dinner. . .maybe it'll just be some tuna. Right now I'm not really caring. . .not too hungry!
6. Scale--steady at 177. :)

Running a bit late here--
Erin

Way to go Erin!!!!

For dinner how about doing a tuna wrap. take Tuna, some lemon juice, some seasonings (I like a little lemon pepper) and some cheese - wrap it in a piece of romaine lettuice! That has to be low in points!

Great job on all the :)

~Amanda

Look at you!!! Not only a couple of 6 :) days, but a FIVE POUND WHOOSH!! :cheer2:

That was so awesome of your hubby to talk to out of the pretzels! It's so encouraging when we have someone right there in the face of temptation to help us out of it! Just last week I was on the phone with my dad right when I was craving a piece of candy and out of no where he told me that if I ever had a craving come on, to wait 10 minutes. So he talked to me for that 10 minutes, and I forgot all about the candy (I didn't remember it again until a point where I had no interest in putting food in my mouth). Had he not called, I probably would have eaten it. So it always encourages me when I see our spouses or family members or something be there at the right time to help us through those tough spots. You're doing EXCELLENT work!!

:flower1: :flower1: :flower1: :flower1: :flower1: :flower1:
6 flowers for your 6 smilies!!!

Well done, Erin!! Even the scale is applauding!! Your plan for today looks excellent and I hope it's working out. Have you tackled the dinner challenge yet? I know I've been doing better with light meals lately. Heavy food just isn't appealing. I'm sure you'll find something yummy for your tummy this evening. ::yes::

Give Mike a pat on the back from me. Tell him I said "Way to go!" for helping my WISH sister stay on track!!

I'm crossing my fingers for you - hoping for 6 more smilies for today!

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

:cool1: Hey, I'm feeling GOOD today! The :sunny: is shining and there isn't a single cloud in the sky!

Yesterday was a :) :) :) :) :) . I didn't binge eat, but I had more carbs than I wanted to--due to my failure to have an appetizing dinner plan (I just wasn't in the mood for that tuna, sad to say, though I liked your suggestion, Amanda). I decided to eat the last two hard pretzels in the box. :rolleyes1
At least they're gone, right? :p

Today's a new day and I've got a plan all set. I'm not going to budge from it!

1. Devotions: :) "Words are the smaller part of our testimony." I believe that--you can talk all you want, but you have to live your faith.
2. Vitamins: :)
3. Water: 12 oz. down
4. Exercise: I'm looking forward to a walk/run in the park; probably about 50 minutes or so (warm-up and cooldown included)
5. Food: breakfast was yogurt and 2 tbsp. grapenuts, 1/2 decaf coffee, and cream. Total of 5 points. 10 a.m. snack will be 1/2 an orange (.5). Lunch will be a big salad w/two buffalo chicken strips and blue cheese dressing (about 12). P.M. snack will be yogurt (2) and veggies (0). Dinner will be soup and crackers (6). Dessert will be a s.f orange cake (2) and 8 oz. milk (2). Total points for the day 29.5. I think that'll be OK because of my workout.
6. Scale:  that thing at 176 this morning.

Thanks for stopping by, friends. I'll give DH that pat on the back, Doreen. It's nice to have someone who encourages you in the right direction when things are hard! Just like your dad did for you, Mary. . .it's nice to have someone in your corner. You know--encouraging, not shaking a finger at you.

OK, I'm off to uncover the jock athlete I know I am. :p Why is it that the half marathon seems like such a long time ago and that I feel like I've got to dust off that part of myself even though I'm still following a plan? :p

:grouphug: to all,
I'm looking Upward, moving onward, and moving that scale downward!
Erin

Edit at 2:35 or so:
3. Have had about 30 oz. of water so far. I have to keep drinking!
4. I did my exercise. My first two miles were in 25 minutes! :Pinkbounc I don't know about the rest--it's too much math for me. :p
5. I'm on track so far with my food! I'm feeling like there could be a 6 :) day on the way!

Hi Erin!! :wave2:

No more pretzels...they're all gone!! I had a bag of dark chocolate M&Ms here and I was allowing myself 10 a day if I was doing well that day. The other night I finished the last few and I was so happy because they were finally gone so I couldn't be tempted to eat more than my alloted few. Now you don't have to worry about pretzels anymore! :cool1:

Have a fabuluos day, my friend!! :sunny:

I hope you made it through a 6 :) :) :) :) :) :) day yesterday. Your exercise sounded GREAT!!! You really DO have a jock athlete inside you, Erin! I saw her at the OC half and she ROCKS!!! 2 miles in 25 minutes - WOW!!! Doesn't it feel great???

:rockband: It's Friday!! :rockband:
Let's start the party!! In my journal, I'm doing only Disney related music in honor of Amanda's impending Disney cruise. Care to join in?? ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Have a wonderful day!! :sunny:

:cool1: Yesterday was a :) :) :) :) :) :) ! Having and sticking to the food plan made all the difference!

Hey, Mary, how are you doing? :wave2: I appreciate your kind words of support. Yeah, my hard pretzels are gone, thank goodness. It's a relief to have the temptation out of the house!

It's a new day, so here's a new (old :p ) plan:

1. Devotions: :) Thought for the day: "Each day I will look for signs of God's presence." I think the reason I LOVE my morning walk with Mickey and my training walks in general is because the parks I walk in offer so many beautiful sights. Whether it's the leaves blowing in the wind, a cardinal singing happily from the top of an evergreen, or a fat little groundhog running across my path, I feel abundantly blessed every day.
2. Vitamins: :) Been there and done that.
3. Water: :) Had a glass this morning, but have lots to go!
4. Exercise: Today is a cross-training day, so my plan is to ride my bike and to lift some weights.
5. Food: Breakfast was a cup of raisin bran w/1% milk and coffee (6). A.M. snack will be an apple (2). Lunch will be tuna w/6 crackers (7). P.M. snack will be a soft pretzel (3). Dinner is up in the air at this point and that's causing me a little grief, but I'll figure that out after talking to DH about our plans.
6. Scale: :) Still whooshing at 175. :teeth:

It's going to be a busy day and a busy weekend. Today I've got to get some cleaning done at home, then exercise, run errands, and get to work. Tomorrow I work in the morning, and then we're going to the shore for an afternoon concert and some walking on the beach. The weather's not supposed to be that great, but it'll be nice to get away. On Sunday we'll clean and prepare for my in-laws visit in the afternoon. It'll be nice to see everyone, and then, on Sunday night, I'll plop! :p I'm just going to take it all in my usual way: step by step, and it'll all get done.

Upward and onward--
Erin

Edit: Hi, Doreen! :wave2: I didn't see you there at first! Yeah, I was happy with that 2 miler time. :cloud9:
