If this has been covered already in posts I apologize. I did a search and can't seem to find a relevant answer.

When I check my bag at my departure airport, do I have to pick it up in Orlando and take it to the bus or does Disney pick up my luggage and take it to the ship?

Did you purchase DCL transfers?

If you DID, then you need to put your bag tags on BEFORE you check your bag at your originating airport, and Disney will pick up your bags and transport them for you.

If you DID NOT, then you will need to pick up your own bags at baggage claim. Be sure you DON'T put the bag tags on in advance if that is the case.

I did buy the DCL transfers so I guess once I drop my bags off at the airport I don't have to worry about a thing. Wonderful news. Thanks so much.

Does this hold true even if you are arriving the day before ? We plan on arrving on Friday and staying somewhere near the airport . We have purchased transfers from DCL.

No, if you arrive the day before you will be responsible to pick up your own luggage at the airport when you land. As far as I know, DCL will not store it for you overnight.
