Luggage transfer between DVC resorts and Disney resorts?

Ive heard that Disney will transfer luggage between resorts if you choose to stay at multiple resorts during the same trip. The question is, if one of the resorts that you stay at is a DVC resort, will they still transfer luggage between that and Grand Floridian? If not, I guess you would have to take a cab or lug bags via the parks?

Itinerary:

PO Riverside 4nights then
Beach CLub villas 4 nights then
Grand Floridian 3 nights

Yes, Disney will transfer your luggage between regular resorts & DVC resorts. We've done it many times.

I'll second that...Yes, they will transfer your luggage from a dvc resort, have done it many times also!

Just rememebr to pack an "overnite bag" and keep it with you. They get busy and sometimes it takes a while to get all your stuff.

Good advice! We learned our lesson when we said goodbye to our luggage at the Poly around 10:00 am and didn't see it again until almost 6:00 pm at the BCV! They had told us 3:00 pm, but it somehow got lost briefly. We did get a free dinner for the mistake though.

would that also apply if you are rent DVC points.. we are going Pop Century - rented points at BCV - then CSR ? Thanks Michelle

We have DVC but often add on "cash nights" to save points. They definitely transfer luggage between DVC resorts and regular WDW resorts. Make sure that EACH piece of luggage has a tag with your name on it!

We rented points to stay at BWV and BCV in October. They definitely transferred our luggage from BCV to AKL for us. It made that move easy!
