Was wondering when you receive your luggage tags. I sail 9/9/19? Thank you

2-4 weeks before sailing. I stress about it, then realize the world won't end if they don't come; quit worrying about it; then they arrive.

The above two comments are right on the money. Just remember to put them on your luggage before you get on the ship, not when you board your plane to get to the port...they might get lost. However, they can be recreated when you check in at the terminal, if they are missing. As long as you have your check in paperwork and passports (if needed) you should be good to go.

If you're using DCL transfers, you need to put your luggage tags on before the plane. DCL claims the bags and transports them directly to the ship.

IF you are flying in the day of the cruise.

If you are flying in a day or more before your cruise (like most people do), then wait to put your DCL tags on after you get to your hotel, before your cruise.

Well, I don't know that "most" people do. I think there's a fair number of people who fly in the day of the cruise.

Only the very brave! It still boggles my mind that people do this.
We've flown in the day of the cruise for 6 of our cruises. Now, "day of" is a literal thing. We fly the red eye (from west coast) arriving usually around 5:30-6:00 am. This allows us like 9 hours to actually get to the ship. And all those flights were arranged via the cruise lines (not just DCL). If we missed the ship because of flights they arranged, it's on them to help us meet up with the ship.

We are using DCL transfers from a WDW resort the day of our cruise, so our checked bags will go via truck to the port.

What do we do if CL doesn't send us enough luggage tags ? Can we get extras ? If so, how / when do we get them ?

Thanks !

You can get extra tags at MCO, and, I believe, you can also get them at the hotel. There's usually a DCL transportation desk somewhere there.

You'll get 2 luggage tags per person in your cruise envelope.

Thanks. Will definitely need additional tags.

Maybe when I call to add DCL transportation to our cruise I'll ask about how we get more than two each.

I actually would count that as flying in the night before, but to-may-to/to-mah-to.
