Luggage tags

I have a question regarding luggage tags. I think I have FINALLY convinced my hubby to fly instead of drive. We have driven the 14+ hours twice and I think he finally realizes how nice a 2 1/2 hour straight flight would be. Anyway, we will rent a car and not use Magical Express. If I put the luggage tags on our luggage will they automatically put it on the bus?

Do not use the yellow tags if you are taking your luggage with you.They are just used if you want them to deliver your luggage to the resort.

All checked bags with the yellow DME tags on them will be picked up and put aside. They will be put on a truck, bound for specific WDW resorts. Will your bags get picked up and arrive at your resort and be put in your room if you don't ride the bus? Probably. If it were me? I would have one person go rent the car, and the other person go to baggage claim and get the bags. Don't tag them before leaving home. If I'm not riding the bus, but paying for a rental car or towncar service, I don't want to have to wait up to 4 hrs after resort checkin for my bags to arrive. It's fine if I'm not paying oop for my ride....I'll take the inconvenience. Otherwise? Nope, I want my bags with me.

That's what I planned on doing. I was going to send my husband to get the car and I was going to get the bags. I will reserve it before we leave anyway.
