hi folks :) :thumbsup2 ,

i was just enquiring, have had a quick search and could have missed this, but does anyone do luggage tags??

looking for some for kids to make they're bags stand out a wee bit, nothing too fancy maybe just with mickey minnie donald daisy goofy and pluto

also looking for envelope template to cut out and make, again just simple with the characters, staying off site this time but still want to leave tip in envelope for housekeeping etc and money envelopes for kids

all help gratefully appreciated

I made luggage tags for the trip we just took. I am not very computer literate, so I'll try to explain how I did it (there's probably an easier way).

I found a design I liked in a photobucket with the five major characters, kind of grouped to one side in a frame. Then I saved it and when I printed it on card stock, I chose "wallet" size, so I ended up with 9 pictures per page. Next, in a word document I wrote out our personal information that would be on any luggage tag- I copied it 9 times on that page, so it looked like my other page, and printed a test copy. I held my test copy up to a light, holding it over my disney fab five design, to see if I had the wording in the right spot (so our names weren't going to be across goofy's face or something like that). I adjusted as I needed to and when I thought I had it correct, I ran my disney fab 5 design thru the printer again in order to print our name, address, etc. on the cards this time. Finally, I turned that same piece of cardstock over and ran thru with another photobucket picture that I liked for the back of the tags.

I bought little plastic name badge holders from an office section at the store and they fit perfectly. We used zip ties to attach them. They worked great, except when they got wet, they ran, so maybe there is some type of waterproof paper you could print on. Hope this helps, it was easier than it sounds!

It's me again. I was looking around tonight for something else and found luggage tags at mouseforless.com. They are free and you can print your personal information on them if you open them as a word document. Look under "downloads for your trip."

thanks for the info :)

will have a wee look at this now

thanks again

I made tags for our luggage and bags. After creating the design I laminated the design. I ran it through two times just in case the first time wasn't good enough. (I am sure it was.) I then used zip ties to attach to the bags. The zip ties do have sharp edges that will scratch so be careful where you place it on the bag. You could try clear contact paper if you don't have access to a laminator. Just test it before you attach. Teacher supply stores usually have a laminator and charge by the foot.
