Luggage tags, when do they send them?

We leave on Sept 21, taking SW out of Philly, Most likely it will be us getting our bags, don't want to wait for hours for them or the middle of the night , when should they send it out???

about 6 weeks prior to check-in. you should get them around 38 days out.

Here's the question....if you are getting your own bags rather than wait for them to be delivered, why bother with when the info packet,with tags, gets to you? Just curious.

We did not get our ME luggage tags/documents until 3 days before our departure! We made several calls to our TA and ME guest relations the week prior to our trip. They ended up sending them to us via UPS Overnight.

I have the same question. You only need the luggage tags if you're going to take advantage of the DME luggage delivery. If you plan on getting your own bags at baggage claim then you CAN'T put the DME tags on them! If you put a DME tag on each checked bag, those bags will NOT be available to you at the baggage claim carousel, but by that time will be on their way to Disney's luggage sorting facility and from there they'll be shipped to your resort by truck.

Even if you get your own bags, it's still a great idea to pack a carry-on with your immediate needs just in case the AIRLINE delays your luggage.

We leave in 32 days (not that I'm counting or anything). We got the yellow DME tags last week and today we received the luggage tags you put your address on today.
